GLUTEN INTOLERANT people: DOUBLECHECK! I booked a table and mentioned food allergies. Upon arrival I informed the waitress about my gluten intolerance. When I ordered my pizza I stressed twice the importance of a glutenfree dough. I asked for sweet potatoes instead of mushrooms on the pizza. When the pizza arrived, my intuition told me to double-check with the cook who brought it. So he asked the kitchen and it turns out my pizza was not glutenfree! The waitress came and told me something like: ahhh, it is busy here. No apologies. So I told her: you realise people can get very sick due to this neglect, even hospital in the worst case. Only then she apologised. She asked me if I wanted to order again but I told her to let me check the menu again, because the pizza was not very big and it would not be sufficient. I waited for more than five minutes but she never came back to me. So I got up, started putting coat, gloves, scarf, backpack, handbag - all very slowly, hoping they would somehow ask or tell me something. Like this was an awful mistake, we will pay more attention to your allergy, or, take something on the house. But nothing. So I went. And I will never return. A pity, because the pizzas seemed genuinely tasty. And apart from this incident, the waitress was friendly. I regret what happened and even more the reaction to it. I do not post this review with negative intentions, I just think it is needed to create more awareness about gluten intolerance among your employees. This place did not feel safe anymore for me to eat in that...
Read moreUnfortunately I have to share my negative experience I arrived 8:45pm (my error not theirs) I was told kitchen closes at 9pm so please make your order quickly. Maybe at this point I should have considered elsewhere but I stayed as they told me they're open until 11 it's just the kitchen that shuts down I did enjoy my pizzas and I enjoy the concept of the 3 smaller sizes! It was very busy and I'm sure it is each day as I've read good reviews Unfortunately my other 2 negative comments are -an additional fee or charge was automatically added to my bill. If I receive good service then I should have the choice to leave a tip but as a solo customer with below average service this should not have been added. edit- thank you for your reply i didnt realise my misinterpreting your receipt -they guy started putting chairs upon the tables around me and it really felt like he wanted me to leave about 9:40pm (they're open until 11?) I asked and he said I always close early. All in all I wasn't happy, and it didn't make my 1st night in copenhagen enjoyable I do believe if you are a large group or you eat about 8pm instead of 9pm you will enjoy it here but my...
Read moreI've heard time and again from friends that pizza in Italy is the best. However I think they have yet to try Pico's Pizza. Husband and I have eaten many pizzas in our lifetime, including myself. Not just here in Denmark but also in USA. I've never had sourdough pizza before, and Pico just makes it incredible. You get small pizzas so you can try the different flavor combos. I actually love the simple ones the best because the ingredients just taste so fresh. Now im gonna say something controversial. Ive always liked pineapple pizza, BUT could understand why people didnt like it. Chunks of pineapple can be too big and the taste overpowers the whole pizza. However Pico doesn't do chunks. They slice a thin layer off an entire round of pineapple and place it on top of their Hawaiian pizza....its the perfect ratio. So much so that my pineapple pizzing hating husband and father-in-law actually really like thid Hawaiian pizza. We've recommended Pico to many friends and they end up to be repeat customers as well. In the least, Pico...
