Cafe Europa — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Nice popular cafe with a terras in a market square. We came here for a late lunch but the olace was quite full. Finally we were assigned a high table with high bar chairs.

Staff was correct but were too busy to pay much attention to customers. Rather to quick, no attention, to customers wishes resulting in the wrong dish served, see below.

We ordered coffee and tea as well as their vegetarian chevre chaud. The food was served quickly but it was not the vegetarian option. After quite a while of waiting the correct dish was served.

While the cheese portion was generous and very tasty, the accompanying salad was ruined by an enormous amount of dressing; bottom layer of 0.5 cm!!, which neither tasted good and was too much like mayonaise. We left half our plate, but the waitress did not enquire whether we liked the meal and why we left half. Finally told the waitress about our experience, and she only said i will inform the chef. No bill reduction.

Really not great and up to standards here. To be avoided for eating unless they significantly improve service and their kitchen. The coffee and...

Brunch options were great until they brought out THREE side dishes of bacon that we never ordered. Because they were small amounts, we thought these came with our original orders. However, the server told us a while later that it was his mistake but it “seemed fine” because we seemed to be enjoying it. Really, we are not huge fans of bacon but being a party of five, everyone tried a little bit but we did not even finish any of the three. Regardless, they charged us for ALL three of the bacon sides and when I inquired about it they said they had to charge us for them because we had touched the food. We went at dinner time food had an interesting selection and reasonably priced - a little less than other restaurants in the area. I Was a bit apprehensive since some reviews said the portions sizes were small. But I was satisfied. Food came a reasonable time after ordering.

I ordered the raw beef starter with bread as a main which was covered with Parmesan and other garnishes. The taste was amazing and was balanced. This was actually recommended by the waitress as I wanted to try something new.

My friend had the truffle pasta which had a hint of truffle and mushroomy taste. The mushrooms of which were the wild kind accentuating the dish.
