My partner and I came to visit this restaurant primarily because it offered a gluten free bun for its burgers, which is helpful for people needing to eat GF. We both ordered burgers. I began eating my burger and about half way through I noticed the meat was raw inside - dark pink/red colour! I was a little shocked, but just ate the bread and salad because I was really hungry.
I then informed the waitress that it was under-cooked and she said she would take it to the kitchen and ask the chef "if it was meant to be like that" but she said I "should've said something earlier"....We waited for around 10 minutes and the waitress walked back and forth but didn't say anything to us, then we didn't see her again.
We had a lot to do so didn't want to chase up the under-cooked burger and ruin the afternoon, so we asked the new waitress for the bill. We paid it, but were expecting our change because we weren't going to tip for obvious reasons, except we were never given change and this waitress disappeared too. We waited a bit but no one brought it so we just left.
Overall it was a horrendous experience, not least because I became ill from the burger in the night. I would not recommend coming here and if it were back home in the UK I would've reported the restaurant for causing...
Read moreAn excellent mini burger chain that isn’t perfect in every respect but certainly gets you a very nice clean burger for a reasonable (by Copenhagen standards) amount of money.
Pretty corporate design, seems like they were attempting to be a large chain, the overly standardized elements are actually very well and carefully executed but certainly lack family or unique feel.
Burgers are a different story though. Very carefully crafted and constructed, even in their sloppy versions, they seem to be perfectly proportioned and executed. Nothing leaks, nothing falls apart, the chew is just right and the ingredient quality is spot on. We had a BBQ burger which basically had bbq mayo sauce, Dijon mustard, all the green and tomato staples plus some tall onion rings. Then we tried jalapeño Mexican styled burger with slightly different sauces and clearly more on the peppery / earthy / spicy side of things. Both burgers were down to the point and very well executed and a perfect example that over engineered burgers are completely unnecessary.
It is not one of my favorite places in Copenhagen but is certainly a great option if I...
Read moreBeware - the waiter added a tip himself before pointing the card reader for me to pay. Unfortunately I didn't ralized what had happenede until after I had tapped my card (which I assume was the intention). I am more than happy to add a tip (even in cases like this where I was just paying for one drink). But a tip is always for the customer to add - NOT for you to automatically add yourself. Very strange (and possibly illegal) behaviour. I noticed that the waiter did the same to other customers around me (so I know wasn't an accidental mistake). This is an instant way to make sure I never visit again. Do you really consider this an acceptable business method and are you sure it is even legal?
Thank you for your reply. I did not receive a receipt. I have been charged an additional 5% on top of the price of my drink. I paid by tapping my card and did not touch the machine with my fingers, so I didn’t accidentally add it myself. I have since spoken with two colleagues I was with, and they were were also automatically charged an extra 5%. I suggest you ask your waiters if they are doing this (even if it’s not...
