Bad experience with take away, not worth the money for the vegan variation. I bought a coupon on Downtown for 40pcs Luxus tasting menu (including 8pcs each of 5 different maki/uramaki/nigiri) but asked to make it vegan. With a dry reply they confirmed it was possible. When I picked the order up I got 40pcs of the same type, just a maki with avocado and cucumber. I asked for an explanation and they said "it is what it is for the price". I can understand they bonded the coupon to some standards, but they had to communicate it, when I asked for the change to vegan (given that I paid for 5 different types), and that didn't happen. Very disappointing, I wouldn't definitely pay 300kr again for that type of maki. I give 2 stars because the taste was at least ok and they were quick with the email replies. First of all, I am very skeptical of the rating of this place, and especially now that I have visited. The sushi (and only the sushi) is not this place’s worst problem. It is completely chaotic. We booked table for 4pm. When we came in they placed us in the middle of the restaurant while they were clearly anything from ready to open. I think the owner might think keeping open will bring most money. But gotta tell you that I am not coming back here ever again. They had food delivery people coming I. The front as we were eating, screaming and shouting, the staff did nothing to stop it. Then suddenly we just didn’t get served any of the food we ordered. SERVICE: Friendly but extremely limited language skills. Not being Japanese, they cannot seem to understand that you need a reasonable quantity of wasabi, no matter how many times you try to explain it to them. The little green ball shrinks every time we order. You can neither request nor order extra wasabi for takeaway, only when you collect it and each time, they seem completely puzzled and give you a huge lump of ginger. Clueless but well meaning. They don’t expect a tip but are very happy when you give one.
ATMOSPHERE: The ambiance is generally nice, lighting is perfect. The room is long and slim with little ventilation, so on a busy night, the room is like a steam bath.
