Nordisk Falafel Østerbro — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

I'm a big fan of falafel and always make sure to try it across the world and see how it stacks up.

Prior to visiting Nordisk Falafel the best I'd had was in Malmo and surprisingly Tokyo (Kuumba du falafel).

When we saw that Nordisk Falafel were crowned Best falafel in the world 2018 you know I had to try them out.

Did it live up to the hype? Yes. Was it the best falafel I've ever eaten? Also yes.

We opted for Falafel pitas with the combo deal which also gets you an amazing, generous portion of crispy fries and a can of soda.

War ok, aber nix besonderes. Service zum Teil höflich, zum Teil sehr unhöflich. Mir wurde gesagt ich soll zehn Minuten warten und ich wurde nicht gefragt wie ich meinen falafel möchte und als ich fragte, ob sie laktosefreie Soßen haben, hat die eine Verkäuferin sichtlich sauer, ein fertiges falafel sandwich in den Müll geworfen und sich bei mir beschwert, ich solle doch das nächste mal gleich Bescheid sagen (obwohl ich nicht gefragt wurde, welche Soße ich will und wie ich mein Sandwich belegt haben möchte), dass ich Laktose Intolerat bin (allerdings habe ich gleich am Anfang gesagt, dass ich viele Allergien habe) Angeblich ist es der „worlds best falafel 2018“, Ich habe schon viele falafel gegessen und es war nicht mal ansatzweise der beste, geschweige denn weltweit. Beim aussuchen meines Salats, wollte ich keinen Grünkohl und keinen Rotkohl, aber Weißkohl, doch den durfte ich nicht haben, weil der sonst nicht auf die Sandwiches kommt. Alles in allem nicht empfehlenswert.

Hello Yusef, I did the review for my fellow Germans.. that’s the reason it’s in German. It’s no where written what will be in the falafel and the girl told me I have to wait ten minutes for it to be ready. After waiting a few minutes I told them that I’m lactose intolerant after saying before that I have many allergies. Anyway it’s normal to ask as maybe someone doesn’t want red cabbage or hummus in the sandwich. On top she didn’t need to throw it in the trash and As you were not there it’s not so nice to pretend you know what happened..it’s hearsay.. There was no smile but a very angry girl. BTW in Germany customer is king.. i didn’t want the Cale and the red cabbage in my falafel instead I wanted the white cabbage but they said it’s not possible because usually you don’t put it in the falafel......

What a horrible experience. The fafafel haloumi mixed pita is really not good, somehow the haloumi tastes like squid? But the worst part is that this was THE DIRTIEST place I have ever eaten in. never in my life have I seen a restaurants bathroom so dirty, it's absolutely disgusting. In the dining room everything is filthy too, how does this past the hygiene control? And do not fool yourself, the cleanliness of a restaurants bathroom DOES reflect the hygiene of wue kitchen.
