Otto — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

I had a pizza at Otto and it was really good. The crust was perfectly done and the toppings were fresh and flavourful. I chose the one with spicy meatballs and fresh mozzarella, and everything worked beautifully together. The pizza itself is an easy 5 out of 5. I sat inside to eat, and while the food was brilliant, the interior left a bit to be desired. They’ve gone for an industrial style, but it ended up feeling a bit cold and uninviting, with steel tables and chairs that were hard to sit on. This is very close to the Italian standard, and considering the price (also for the lunch offer) it's great! I particularly appreciate it because there are many places in Copenhagen that falsely claim to be Italian and to prepare true Italian pizza (da Aldo, non solo pizza, cavallino) but they and their pizzas are not Italian at all. Otto pizza is by far closer to the true Italian pizza, compared to those above, and still doesn't pretend to be an Italian pizzeria. Being Italian I love this pizza, it's pretty close to the authentic one! It's not too burnt (which I often see in those allegedly authentic pizza places) nor too chewy or crispy, it strikes the right balance. This is when you can safely order a margherita and you know it's gonna taste good without any extra topping needed (although in the picture you see prosciutto e funghi and salamino). I don't mind paying the premium considering the quality of the ingredients and the final result....
