Square Burger — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Owner has a major attitude problem, as confirmed by other reviews. My partner and I went in on a date for our anniversary and she successfully ruined it. We ordered at 7:30. At 7:55, I finally got my burger, but my partner’s didn’t come out at the same time. We didn’t worry, since the table next to us had their order come out one burger at a time and didn’t want to be rude to the staff. We saw another group get their order, but they came in at the same time as us so we figured maybe their order was simpler. When we saw another customer get her order, my partner asked the cashier if they were working on their order. She looked horrified and was incredibly apologetic that they had forgotten the order. Everything was fine, until the owner approached my partner, blaming them for waiting so long to ask about the order. We waited about 10-15 minutes to ask because other orders were coming out and we figured they may have needed time to correct a mistake. We also saw that other reviews stated that the service was slow, and the owner’s response is “good things take time” so she clearly hates when people complain about the wait. She tried to refuse to make the order because they had closed a few minutes prior. The other customer had received her order only a moment prior, so the excuse that the “grill was cold” was a ridiculous attempt to get out of serving us. She didn’t offer a refund, just tried to get us to leave without our order. When I backed my partner up, I said “it doesn’t matter that you’re closed— you forgot the order and we paid for it” she yelled at me in front of other customers, saying that we were idiots for not confronting her sooner. It is an absolutely ridiculous take that a customer should leave your restaurant with no refund simply because you don’t want to make an order you forgot about. She never apologized. At any quality establishment, they would have made the meal and comped it or offered a discount for the wait. Instead, she made the order but left out the fries, which we paid extra for. She didn’t even offer an apology. I feel totally ripped off, since we didn’t even get the order we paid for. She tried to blame us for her mistake simply because we were patient customers.

Owner is clearly an only-child who has never heard the word “no” in her entire life. She has an attitude of entitlement and not an ounce of kindness or respect for others. She doesn’t deserve your service. I hope she has exactly the life...

MOST AMAZING VEGAN FLAVOURFUL BURGERS AND SIDES 🌱 I can only recommend everyone to visit SquareBurger by Christiania in København - and if you don’t go, you will regret it for the rest of your life. The most loving and talented boss woman behind this restaurant serves up the best food I have eaten in a loooong time! So good, that we within our 4 day stay in Copenhagen went to SquareBurger 6 times - and now you’re probably thinking, 6? But you’re only there for 4 days? That’s right. 2 days we went b for lunch and then again for dinner. Her variations of the vegan chicken burger are just too good not to. Not only is the food amazing, the groceries are fresh and made with love, this amazing woman met my annoying needy difficult order with a big smile. Even when super busy, she still payed so much attention and went the extra mile and made my burger different - if that is not exceptional customer service and talent, i don’t know what is.. DID I MENTION HER OUT OF THIS WORLD VEGAN TRUFFEL MAYO?? Mhmmm, I am still dreaming about her truffle and Chili Mayo. Everyone knows a good burger meal isn’t complete without a good sauce. So she’s got 4 of them! Plus more, but the truffle mayo is still calling my name every now and then.. So.. I could keep writing for hours about the amazing vegan food and treatment you will receive at SquareBurger. But really, go for yourself and find out - and go back and get more, again and again. If you’re looking for the best burger of your entire life no further than square burger. I am visiting from the US, specifically from the Northeast where we are known to have outstanding burgers and as a devout carnivore and avid burger connoisseur I have never had burger this good my entire life. It’s a small spot near the entrance of Freetown Christiania with a small but delectable menu of burgers and some sides. They also serve chicken burgers and have vegan burgers as well for all you non carnivores they have you covered. Prices are fair, you can even get a beer with your burger at this no fuss establishment. The owner Magdalena is absolutely lovely!
