Gourmet Workshop — Restaurant in Odense Kommune

This is a small quaint little restaurant, so now I understand the needing to reserve table. Ordered a lot of different dishes to get a good idea of overall food quality. Everything was absolutely fantastic and this is the only restaurant that has gladly accepted my inviting to meet my personal need for extremely spicy. They did a damn good job barely had to use my own personal carolina reaper hot sauce I brought bc the heat was fairly acceptable to me so didnt want to change the flavoir of their food with my random store bought sauce. The service was good and the wait for my food was not bad considering I think its mainly just the owners wife cooking. But the owner was incredible very proud very passionate about his food and he seems very eager to make sure that every customer leaves satisfied so long as they let him know there might be something he can tray an do to make them happy. But he truelly seemed to take a liking to me instantly when he seen not only did I request extremely spicy but I actually can handle ridiculously spicy, so much so that he said giving he personally eats and enjoys very spicy theres no way he would handle the way I like spicy.

Can't say enough he is very friendly, very passionate, very proud of restaurant and his wife's talents in the kitchen. Highly recommend trying this family owned restaurant and if spicy is not your thing. Please do everyone a favour and let them know you do not want heat. They are very gracious and willing to accommodate your specific needs.

Pictures may not be great im not photographer just an obsessive connoisseur of indian/ indo Asian food. Can't say for sure how long I waited bc I walked in no reservation then left sad bc I needed a reservation that I did not have. Walked around odense exploring the town then after finding out the flammen buffet was closed so I called back and they said they had an opening so I ran back up the street from my hotel. As for price I ordered lots of dishes as to have left overs for the next day but I will say 300 krone because I ate 2 of the dishes in the restaurant last nite and got the calabrese pizza and the drunken noodles to go for the next day. The meat ball curry and the beef salad which I ate in restaurant were fantastic, hopefully I will find another restaurant with these 2 dishes back home in canada never seen those 2 anywhere else I all my restaurants I've been to across central to western canada. He asked if ild like the rice they gave me with my curry to go and I said I was ok wasnt overly craving rice so he asked if ild like nanny to which I said i have plenty of carbs for tomorrow but I cannot say not to Nan bread. An absolute pleasure to find this place... fantastic choice of local beers, and the food is sublime. We chose a mixture of Sri Lankan and Thai and it was all delicious. Good size portions, really reasonable prices and an all- round delightful experience. The guy in charge is a great character doing a tremendous job. Gayan is so sweet! We arrived and there wasn’t a space to sit. He made a special lace for us to sit and have a drink while we waited. He was very generous the whole time and fun to talk to!
