La Hacienda — Restaurant in Higüey

If you love nature and animals thats the place!! La hacienda has amazing views of rainforest and mountains! I loved the horses! They are so cute! We booked in advance and still had to wait 15 mins.

We ordered an array of dishes from the menu and it’s safe to say we didn’t finish them. The enchiladas… well the pictures speak for themselves. Soggy tortillas, dry unseasoned shredded chicken soaked in sauce.

My partner ordered the sirloin fajitas, they looked like chicken! Totally unseasoned too.

We expect the food to be average in an all inclusive resort but this was shocking..

Overall ,the restaurants at this resort were bad !!! This one in particular was the worst!!! My steak was not bad, but it was overcooked. Even though I asked them to make it medium rare. We ordered drinks with our food. They completely forgot about our drinks. When I reminded them they brought the wrong drinks to the table and only after we were done eating.
