Bamboo — Restaurant in Higüey

This was my first a la carte restaurant, and it was a good experience!

I got the pork dim sum, which was yummy but a lil small, the Bamboo style stir fry? and the caramelized mango cream for dessert. Also enjoyed their Merlot. The steak in the stir fry was meh, but everything else was real good. And I did nibble off the sushi bar, but mostly saved room for my entree!

Overall, cool place with a good vibe....

Not that great...the food was pretty dire...all meat dishes particularly the pork was so tough it could not be eaten...the beef was just passable and the lighting was dreadful...we had use mobile phones for lighting as we could nor see what we were eating the crab cakes were OK as we're the prawn crackers...would...

My "salmon" appetizer tasted like canned tuna. The main course of duck was great and dessert was fine, but the sushi and sashimi were very sketchy.

Not gluten-free friendly, purely because of language barriers and communication issues. Menu & GF symbols were very tiny and...
