In the detached “preferred” section of the resort, only this restaurant was convenient. We ended up going to main resort for lunches and dinners, because this was not that “preferred”.
Needless wait times. There is only one hostess. While hostess was super nice, it was creating needless lines. We did not enjoy standing and waiting needlessly. We felt it was rude and disrespectful to make people line up to enter an empty restaurant with tons of staff. There are lots of workers, but this restaurant insists on making people wait. We complained, and Manager was first careless. Then he told us he’ll just get us in ahead of line next time. He missed the entire complaint- there should be no lines as he has enough tables and staff. Its rude and disrespectful to make people stand around waiting, and its “preferred” section!
Mediocre food - breakfast. Scrambled eggs had foul taste. Lots of food looked dry. Little selection of fruit. It didnt feel premium (other than honey in comb served super nice). There was always a line for omelet, even though restaurant wasnt at capacity.
No lunch. They close the inside and lunch is outside with menu (poor one).
No seafood dinner. Dinner is weird- half buffet and half menu. The menu is just meatless pasta and some stew meat. No seafood.
Nothing for kids. This was not catered for kids, outside of breakfast. We had to go to other restaurants because there just wasnt kids food (although whole resort could not manage to do mac n cheese or chicken fingers….). We had to constantly pick through all sections to find food for picky child.
Air conditioner was weak inside. It was warm (with some flies).
Servers were very nice and polite, just sadly we would be frustrated from needless standing in line.
The wait is a big deal in a resort that is for relaxation and vacation. Plus family member has bad back and the standing was painful. Kid was inpatient. Its insulting to see how easily this could have been prevented. Much of staff was standing around with free time, but the manager insisted only one hostess to check in and seat the guests.
