Smoky Time — Restaurant in Higüey

I felt compelled to share my fantastic experience at Smoky Time. Now, I want to clarify right from the start: they didn’t even ask me to write this review. Sure, they offer a 5% discount if you write one, but honestly, the service and food were so exceptional, I’d be leaving this review without any incentive!

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and laid-back, perfect for a casual yet high-quality dining experience. The smoky aroma hits you immediately, setting the stage for what’s to come. The menu offers a great variety of meats, perfectly seasoned and smoked to perfection. I tried the brisket and ribs, and both were tender, flavorful, and cooked just right—an absolute treat for any BBQ lover!

What really stood out to me, though, was the attention to detail from the staff. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations without being pushy. The service was smooth, and despite the place being fairly busy, we never felt rushed. It was clear they truly care about providing an exceptional dining experience.

So yes, there’s a small discount for writing a review, but honestly, the team at Smoky Time deserves much more than that for the quality of food and service they offer. I’ll definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-tier...

An outstanding pub, one of a kind, with a great atmosphere, excellent service, perfect stuff attention and delicious food. Great and lovely experience which i definitely want to repeat over and over again!

I would say thats not just a pub, but also the restaurant, even though the beer is the main focus and they jumped over all the heads with the beer menu and offer the unique variety, including rare types of this drink which you never will be able to find, try and order in any of the local places. The food is yummy, and the menu is wide and doesn’t include just typical positions you may find in other places, but also something to treat yourself: it could be a special dish as well as a special chief’s recipe of a well known plate.

The interior design is super stylish, solid, 100 percent suitable for the atmosphere. Everything is done with soul and love, as well as with a real professional approach and impeccable knowledge of their business. Just a great and lovely place!

Had what only can be considered as realistic and truly amazing experience as possible. To just write a review on how great their food and drinks were (because they were) would not do the experience justice. In summary, as humans we all have tough days, from the moment we sat down we were attended by a waiter who seemed to be having one of those. The service provided by them was let’s say uncomfortable because it projected whatever they were going through. The reason this review is 5 stars and I would highly recommend is because the alertness and level of service provided by the rest of the staff once they were aware of how our experience started was something out of a movie. They were extremely attentive and accommodating. Truly 5 star service that matched the food, the drinks, and the trendy aesthetics of the place. I will be visiting them again and want to give a huge shout out to Carla who said it was her first day but the way she orchestrated the attention to us matched that of a master general manager.
