CachArepa — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

Fotos is not bad, not the best. It's open till late at night and the servers are friendly. The food is on the heavy side and some days it's tastier than others. My favorites are the tequenos (some days better than others), Reina pipiada arepa with additional Manon cheese and the cheese cachapa. I've had some nice late night dates with my teenagers boys here so it's a nice spot for an informal bite. Just hope to be lucky and have a better day...

Good average Venezuelan food, nothing fancy though. I keep waiting for them to sell Malta, because there's nothing better than a cold Malta with an empanada. Cachapas are good, wish they would switch to queso de hoja instead of the same cheese they use for the empanadas which would make them much better. I haven't tried...

Este fast food venezolano se ha convertido en uno de mis "guilty pleasures", siendo mi favorita la cachapa de queso y habichuelas negras con extra de aguacate. La comida tiene, a mi entender, una excelente relación calidad/cantidad/precio y el personal es sumamente atento. Aceptan tarjeta de crédito, tienen un pequeño baño disponible y cuentan con otros establecimientos al lado, haciéndole perfecto para grupos. Las dos únicas razones por las que no les doy las 5 estrellas son: 1) los jugos son excesivamente dulces (melaos) 2) utilizan cubertería y vasos de plástico, incluso para comer allí, generando una cantidad de basura innecesaria y que fácilmente...
