Cantin Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

It is a good place with a good atmosphere, however, full of smoke. I think this is a good place for Cigar, Cigarettes and tabacco smokers. If you don't like the smell of a tabacco and/or cigars don't go.

The taste of the food isn't really impressive, we tasted different dishes, "normal" flavor. The food is cheap tho, based on the location prices are affordable.

It seems there is a lack of personnel, evident lack of service, the waiter just was just focus on some special tables. They seem overwhelmed when they are full.

Not worth it. Food is okay and not going to really impress. Reasons for the stars is because of the lack of service. Waiter had to constantly waive down as he was focused on all his other tables. The Chef too was mainly focused on a few select tables. Waiters were constantly talking at the service station and literally had to raise my hand like it’s fifth grade to get any of their attention since my waiter was focused on his other tables. Wouldn’t go back unless...

The food is very good. Had the Cantin Rice (superb), and the Salmon (meh), some croquettes, a Tartar and a side salad. It was good.

The Old Fashion is very good and made with Jim Bean.

The prices are highish, but price/quality is good for what it is.
