We have eaten at Dolcerie before, but this was our first visit for brunch. We were a group of five and had made a booking accordingly, only to find that although we arrived on time, no table was available. After a fairly frank exchange of views a table was quickly prepared and things ran smoothly from there on. An update, having gone to celebrate a friend's birthday. Unbelievably we had a repeat of the booking fiasco. A booking for a large group had been made, but when we arrived at the appointed time, they said they had arranged only two tables, one inside and one out, farcical in itself, but still with nowhere like sufficient seating for the booked group. We were left standing in the entrance for close to an hour, before we managed to get any seats and an hour and forty minutes before we finally got a drink. It was nearly another hour to finally secure seating for the whole group. The service afterwards was not bad and the food good, but in no way made up for the initial farce. Dolcerie need to sort out their booking arrangements which are an unmitigated shambles, made worse by the staff's apparent indifference to solving the issue they have created. The only bright spot was the live music, an excellent group who had the entire restaurant...

I was visiting family and wanted to treat them to brunch. I've saw this restaurant on a post from an influencer I follow, and i knew this was the perfect place to take them to. I made a reservation and was greeted by a lovely hostess. Then, everything went downhill from there. The service was pretty awful to say the least. It took about 25 minutes for the waiter to take our order. Beverages arrived on a timely manner, but our food took over 45 minutes. Only to then have to wait another 15 minutes to get my meal, because only 3 dishes were delivered from the kitchen. Food was tasty, but you could tell it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while, because it was warm and not hot like it should've been. If the place would've been crowded, it could excuse the bad service, but it was not. The waiter didn't even stopped by our table to see if we needed beverage refills. One of the things I did like was the valet parking, and the restaurant ambiance. I was so excited to try this restaurant, but at the end of it all, it didn't meet my...

We’ve lived in Santo Domingo for 5 years and finally crossed the door of La Dolcerie in Piantini. We were very impressed with the attention by our servers - they seem to be trained in a teamwork style environment, because various servers helped throughout our time. The menu is varied with selections from sandwiches to risottos to meats to Japanese. We ordered the monfonguito with shrimp - an appetizer that come with 3 portions that was a good starter for our table of 2. My husband ordered the gnocchi that was made with plantain and enjoyed it very much and I ordered the poké bowl with spicy tuna. Both dishes were wonderful and well portioned - not oversized portions by any means, but along with the appetizer we were very satisfied. For a dining experience with white table cloths, wonderful food with great variety and a bakery that we didn’t even try, we WILL return to La Dolcerie again. Highly recommended. TIP: breakfast is served until noon - next time we will try their...

Just visited recently with a group of friends celebrating a birthday ! The food was absolutely phenomenal and incredibly memorable, especially the tuna tar tar and their avocado ceviche. My entree was orange chicken which was pretty good except it had a strong sweet taste after not your normal sweet and sour kind of thing. One thing that was notable about the experience is that we were poorly tended to by our waiter it seemed he switched off his shift leaving our table in a chaotic state especially when we were going to pay, none of our items were divided accordingly which was stated in the initial start of the brunch. We also were sitting nearby an awfully loud table who seemed to lack the social etiquette to politely have table conversation amongst the friends at the table. Besides those inconveniences, I would say I would visit again and recommend this place to others.

I do not speak Spanish, but everyone seems to be very kind, understanding, and helping accommodate me. The manager, the really tall guy, was super helpful and sat me in an area that was expecting an event, so I did not have a long wait. My server was nice. However, my order was not exactly as I wanted aside from that very nice, the service was friendly and fast and I would done again. My eggs benedict was overcooked, but bc I don't speak Spanish, I didn't want to continue using the Google Translate app and be annoying. It got the spot. I The iced coffee was really good, different from what I expected, but I was pressed for time, and they had an event they were setting up, so it was win-win. Side note. The restroom was so dang nice, i HAD to take a pic...

- Fancy places - Crowded from 8:00 pm until close - People talk too loud. - Price are razonable - Smoke from cigarettes get inside some times - Soft music, Volume razonable - Food for entrances is really good - Main Plate taste good but presentation could be better. - Dessert exelellet but portion is too big ( with one portion is enough for 2 or 3 people’s) - Excellent variation of different drinks, wine, beers, whisky. - Juice are good. Overall is a good place if you want to go with friends and shill out, deferent from if you want to go for a date looking for a quite ambient that you can enjoy your date.
