During my recent visit to El Café de Tere in Garzota, Guayaquil, I enjoyed a delightful desayuno. The huevos con queso were delicious, and the café negro was robust and flavorful. We also savored humitas and empanadas de verde con relleno de carne, which were both exquisite.
The open seating area, while providing a semi-al-fresco experience, lacked sufficient cooling; the overhead fans didn't quite combat the coastal heat. Additionally, smoking was prohibited, which is understandable to ensure the comfort of all patrons, but an area for smokers could be assigned.
