Read moreHands down the best food in Alexandria! These guys don’t joke around. What’s good about this place: FOOD FOOD Drinks FOOD Their short rib croquettes deserve a Nobel Peace prize, cause for heavenly 5 minutes; I forgot about all the problems in the world. A masterpiece! The seafood pasta is very creamy and buttery and has now turned me against most other pastas 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ I blame Jeeda’s Staff is accommodating and friendly yet very professional. Quite cozy on weekdays and very lively towards the weekends so you get the best of both worlds. Outdoor terrace is very pretty, perfect for morning coffees.
What’s not so good about this place: The Tiramisu is just not Tiramisu.. although they do mention it’s “Jeeda’s specialty” in the menu. To start off, they charged around 50EGP more for addition of rum which was already included in the description in the menu, was a bit deceiving and unprofessional. Also, the consistency is too gooey, the balance between the supposedly mascarpone (didn’t taste like it) and the savoiardi is off. To add insult to the injury, I couldn’t taste the coffee which is pretty much the base of this dessert. I’d be happy to make them some of my tiramisu, it’s pretty simple you just need the right ingredients. The music on weekdays doesn’t add to the vibe/identity of this gem in Alexandria, it’s as if someone searched “White people’s top 50” on Spotify and put them on repeat. Would be nice if there were more original music that add to the whole Mediterranean vibe. I heard people complain about the prices, but that’s the price you pay for the best food in town! The pricing is equivalent to average prices in Europe and the US, although this aint New York but it’s still def worth it for me.
Conclusion: This gem definitely deserves the five star rating in spite of the distressing Tiramisu, everything else makes up for it! As her highness, Lady Gaga once said: -BRILLIANT -INCREDIBLE -AMAZING -SHOW STOPPING -UNIQUE -SPECTACULAR -NEVER THE SAME Keep...
Read moreI dined here twice and both experiences were exceptional. I ordered the seafood soup on both occasions and thoroughly enjoyed it, particularly with the bread. Be careful because you can get full off of soup and bread. The veal and risotto was almost delicious. While the risotto was perfect, the veal was overcooked. So be sure to tell the waiter that you want your meat cooked medium well or medium rare. The garlic shrimp and green salad were delicious. The margherita pizza was seasoned perfectly and the cheese was yummy but the crust was terrible. It tasted like ready made crust. I wouldn’t order that again. The seafood paella was delicious. I ordered the salmon and steamed vegetables. The texture and appearance of my salmon fillet was similar to frozen fish. This didn’t please me at all. Complete turn off. The steamed vegetables were delicious and tasted fresh. The ambience is modern, sexy, and western. I don’t think you will find many other restaurants that look and feel like this restaurant. The bathroom was clean! This made me so happy and trusting of the overall hygiene of this venue. This restaurant is more expensive than your typical restaurant in part because it charges both VAT and a service fee, which they told me doesn’t cover the tip! The pizza, meat, salmon and high taxes are cons; however, the restaurant does make other good meals, and the ambience is great. I recommend...
