Dont eat here. They treat a allergic reaction as if you where wrong for what you ordered! Let me tell you a little about my dining experience. I booked a table for my group at this establishment to have a nice evening together. At first when the waitress approached to take our order, i find it quite rude if she takes all the orders and walks away before taking yours. Anyway as a person who has allergies you study the menu quite thouroughly. See if there are any nuts or fruits i cannot eat. Not only did it take 70 min for the mains to arrive on a 3/4 empty restaurant. They put ingredients in their food that is not written in the menu. After 1 bite i had a odd texture in my mouth and asked someone to check if there was any Walnuts in my food. And yes they felt like sprinkling it all over my dinner for deco. After i called the waitress over about it she just started arguing with me that i should have informed them about my allergies. Yes there where items clearly written that it contained nuts, so i chose something without. I had to stand up and run to the pharmacy as my lip was already swelling up. Luckily a couple of Antihistamines could get the swelling down and my airways did not block up. When i got back to the table the manager insisted i should order something else but of course my trust in this place was gone already. It was the rudest experience i have had for someone experiencing a medical condition. Trying to argue yourself out of it does not...
Read moreVery happy to have found this gem in El Gouna. After finding it, we went twice and on our farewell night as well, as to us it is the best restaurant across categories during our trip and most likely in El Gouna.
What makes it unique: A) The people. From the manager to Zacharia our waiter who made us feel truly special. Zacharia spoke excellent english and no special request was denied. After our first meal we took time to give feedback via the comment card they give to each guest, and the night after the feedback was already taken and implemented - so rare.
B) The Food: a fusion mixture - maybe call it a bridge between local ingredients, spices and culture and european/mediterranean tastes and presentation to match! Try the Lamb Hummus, the Lamb Chops, the Slow Cooked Beef and the divine Dessert: Date Cake!
C) Ambiance: very tastefully decorated and freshly opened, boho chic with lots of green plants and great date-worthy lighting. The heaters actually work compared to many you see elsewhere. It makes you almost fully forget the maybe only drawback (it is next to a road where maybe once an hour a big tour bus crosses your view)
We can strongly recommend to locals or tourists that dont have all inclusive - you most likely will want to eat here...
