Decent food. Nothing special but the tomato soup and lasagna are tasty. Service is quick and staff are friendly. Soup 130LE (€ 3,89), lasagna 280LE (€ 8,38), glass of sangria 220LE (€ 6,58!!!), beer 95LE (€ 2,84). All in all 1.230LE and after 12% service charge (bit much?) and 10% VAT it was 1.570,46LE (€ 47 something) Not cheap, not very expensive but on the pricy side for what you get. I recommend Pasta e Basta on the other side of the bridge over this place.
Edit: correct, I didn't mention everything that we ordered. I just mentioned some of your prices and then the total of what we spent. In regard to your first remark: customer reviews in tourist spots should always be taken with a pinch of salt. A 5 star rating should be read as 4 stars because people's standards are on the floor. The taxes and service charges are the same everywhere, but I'm inclined not to tip when it's not included in the price of an item (especially when the food and service aren't anything special). And considering you add the service charge and taxes afterwards, your food is pretty expensive for what you get. Other restaurants give more value for money. Instead of pointing at other restaurants, take this criticism on the chin and make your...
Read moreBEWARE SCAM RESTAURANT! The waiter didn’t bring my change back and used this strategy to keep it in hope I would leave. When I asked him where my change is he dared to even lie to me saying that the person had to go to the toilet before delivering my change money. Do you think iam stupid??? Apparently the owner of the place also didn’t care too much when I talked to her about the issue. Instead of punishing her scam waiter she instead offered “a gift” next time which makes her part of the problem. I’ve been here a couple of times and won’t come back. If you want to employ scammers go for it but you will lose your customers fast. I didn’t come to Gouna to get scammed. If I wanted to get scammed I could have stayed in hurghada and eat there for 10% of the price. You already have to pay 12% for the “service” and then they even try to scam you. AVOID
PS: the owners now tries to make me look like a greedy person who complains about 37 LE. I always leave tips and I don’t care about 37 LE but I don’t like when waiters just take my money and keep the change as granted! NEVER have I seen such a behavior in the world, only here. You don’t need to protect your scam waiter when he clearly tried to rob the change. Don’t take...

If you're craving authentic Italian flavors, this is the place to be. We were particularly impressed with the pizza. It's clear they use high-quality, imported ingredients, resulting in a truly delicious and satisfying pizza. The crust was perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. It's the kind of pizza that reminds you of the real deal you'd find in Italy. Beyond the pizza, we also tried the broccoli soup, and it was a standout. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, it was a comforting and delicious start to our meal. It's evident that Zia Amelia pays attention to the details, even in their simpler dishes. The atmosphere in downtown Gouna is always vibrant, and Zia Amelia fits right in. It's a great spot for a family dinner, and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall, we had a fantastic meal at Zia Amelia. The combination of authentic Italian cuisine, high-quality ingredients, and a pleasant atmosphere makes it a must-try for anyone visiting Gouna.
