ZOUNI Lounge Bar — Restaurant in Gamsha

I am deeply disappointed with my visit to Zouni Bar. I initially reached out on Instagram to reserve a table for two, but I was told about a minimum requirement of four guests. Upon arriving at 8:30 pm at the bar, I noticed that many of the occupied tables were occupied by couples, and the place was mostly empty. It was disappointing to see that while we were told there was a minimum requirement, others were allowed to sit without any restrictions, simply ordering drinks.

After about 15 minutes, a waiter approached us to inform us of a minimum charge for each guest, which had not been communicated earlier via instagram or WhatsApp message. We ordered sushi, dessert, and beer, but I observed that many guests around us were only ordering drinks without facing any minimum charge requirements.

When we asked to speak with the shift manager, he confirmed that the minimum charge applied only to guests attending the party that was set to begin at 11 PM. I questioned why this was not mentioned when we made our reservation, especially since we had arrived three hours before the party.

We got sanded at our table from the sand and wind and asked for another table as there was enough space. We would only get it if we left a review. We asked for a table first. Nothing happened

Later the owner insisted to play a word game with us. If he won we would get a free drink if he won we had to post a review. We were not in the mood for a game, but he insisted and it was then only one free drink for one person instead of all 4 of us.

After playing the game he did not listen to our answers but thought his own answer was awesome. And demanded our honest reviews. After reading the other reviews we wanted to leave immediately especially reading about the ridiculous additional charge and because we still had not gotten another table.

The four cocktails and 2 small waters turned out to be as expensive as any other dinner, including cocktails, we had in El Gouna and any restaurant. €50 for 4 okay drinks and two small water... I Highly recommend not going here and sticking to the best rated restaurants on tripadvisor.

Horrible service, although we paid alot for 2 people who expect good service and a good host to see us to our seats. We were surprised that our chairs by the bar were taken away from us after ordering food, although we were told that we have an hour which we thought was enough for a quick drink and bite! Anyhow thats not it.. the host was very rude "mimo" to my friend who was over from Dubai "the city of great service" which was extremely embarrassing for me. He said something in arabic which means dont let me be disrespectful, "ana lesani tweel" LOL is this gouna?
