I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Family Fish Restaurant in Hurghada, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience! This modest establishment surprised me with its exceptional food and impeccable service.
From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant exudes a welcoming and family-friendly ambiance, making it the perfect spot for a delightful meal with loved ones.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food! If you're a fish lover like me, you're in for a treat. The menu boasts an impressive selection of fresh and locally sourced seafood options that will satisfy even the most discerning palate. From succulent grilled prawns to perfectly cooked sea bass, every dish was a masterpiece.
One particular highlight was the chef's special seafood platter, a generous assortment of prawns, calamari, and fish fillets, all expertly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Each bite was a burst of flavors, and the freshness of the ingredients truly shone through. It was evident that the chefs take great pride in their craft.
The service at the Family Fish Restaurant deserves special mention. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their work. They were more than happy to recommend dishes and offer insights into the local seafood scene.
Despite being a modest place, the attention to detail and the dedication to customer satisfaction were truly remarkable. The staff made me feel like a welcomed guest, and the personalized service added an extra touch of warmth to the meal.

Read moreFirst time I visted, owner was very apologetic as he was alone cooking, and serving (felt sorry for him), but he really make great impression on me. Let me explain you quickly: He had around other 5 customers on place, cooked alone for all of them, I saw him come in and out, always huge big SMILE in his face, always apologetic but making sure everyone was well look after.
I tasted amazing fresh fish, and seafood....wow, to die for! :) I was uterlly impressed by how he kept his smile, friendly approach with him, whilst handling difficult circunstances...got my respect right there!
That itself made me want to visit this restaurant many more times and recommend it, because the taste of the food, plus witnessing that commitmenty to their customers, and their business, is enough to want to eat there for the rest of my life.
Hands up to the Boss, and his team (on my 2nd visit), treated me very well as well, felt at home.
We don't praise good people enough, we just criticise, complain or find faults with them.... so let me put the highlight into the Boss and team behind this lovely seafood restaurant.
You will not be disappointed...and even if you was, the team would go beyond to compensate you for any dissatisfaction you might...
Read moreOnce again, having eaten here for well over 5 years now, we were most impressed and highly delighted as always. We cannot fault the quality of the freshly cooked food and the excellent personal service from all the staff and in particular Mohamed, the owner! You receive more than ample portions and Mohamed always brings extra food/drink to the table at NO extra cost to you. Great value for money and highly recommend Family Fish to one and all!! At this point, I would like to comment on a specific review that was left just yesterday (17th November) by somebody called Alex Peters from Germany. I cannot understand or believe where he is coming from. Most of his comments were totally unjustified and ludicrous, in particular the comment regarding the ugly high tables and a ‘dark pub cave’, as he described it. If that was the case, then he should have left immediately, but instead he and his family remained and ordered their food. If he found the whole experience that terrible, then why didn’t he leave immediately without eating and paying for the food??? Sorry, but I just needed to get this off my chest, as I strongly believe Mr Peters comments were...
