Toscana — Restaurant in Tórshavn

To order, we pointed at mouth-watering social media images of their dishes... even when those images had no text description. Imagine a plate of spaghetti with light brown sauce, topped with white cheese. Is it really spaghetti, or some other stringy pasta dish? How many stringy pasta dishes have brown sauce and cheese?

The answer is an infinite amount, right?

You can probably imagine how difficult it was for the staff to figure out for us. But they were super nice, and the servers asked each other to see if they recognized this very-specific-but-yet-very-vague light brown stringy pasta dish.

Fortunately, the Italian host knew, and we got the same picturesque and absolutely delicious "spaghetti gorgonzola" that a random internet reviewer posted.

I and three others dropped in without a reservation, just checking if they had a table for us. Unfortunately, they were fully booked, but really did everything they could to solve it, without any pressure from us. They just wanted to do well and solve this. And they did ☺️ Delicious food. Everybody was happy. Italian music playing but not loud so you could easily have a conversation. The only thing we could complain about was the size of the dishes. You really do not walk out hungry. But it is so good you don't want to leave any food on the plate 😅 That resulted in us not having any dessert afterwards even though we definitely wanted to. We were just to full 🥰 I will definitely go there again on my next visit to the Faroe...

Love this place.This warm cosy restaurant is tucked away on the ground level of a house in the center of Torshavn. They have semi open kitchen and seating are in comfortable private booths. Their steaks are my favorite and portions are good but I think there is room for improvement with the bread and vegetable portions for the sides. Atmosphere is nice and chef/owner of the place always comes out and ask if all is well, which is a nice personal touch. Lavatories are clean but remember the door slides open...lol.....they may want to place a small sign for the tipsy few.....and I'll always go back to this place loveeeee it and thank you for the wonderful...
