Stayed at the Hilton Fiji Resort for a conference and enjoyed breakfast and lunch daily at Koro. The food was fresh, flavorful, and featured a variety of dishes with Fijian flair, all while overlooking breathtaking Pacific views. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the exceptional service.
The Koro staff were the epitome of hospitality—courteous, kind, and always going above and beyond to make us feel like ‘family’ (as they say in Fijian). After just two days, they knew us by name, a personal touch that made us feel so welcomed. A special and heartfelt shoutout goes to Emele and Percy, who made every meal truly unforgettable. They always found us the best seats for breakfast, ensured fresh food was brought straight from the kitchen, and made us feel like we had known them for years. Their warm smiles, attention to detail, and genuine care set a new standard for service.
Emele and Percy didn’t just serve us; they anticipated our needs and made sure everything was perfect. My wife is vegan, and they personally ensured she had nourishing options every morning, even arranging for fresh juice to be prepared daily—something even many luxury resorts don’t offer. Their thoughtfulness and kindness turned what was already a great experience into an exceptional one.
Dinner at Koro was also good, but the morning crew truly stood out. The poolside service, which comes from the Koro kitchen, was equally impressive, with fresh fish, salads, and other solid food options.
If you’re in Denarau or staying at the Hilton, I highly recommend checking out Koro for their breakfast buffet and lunch. The incredible staff will make your visit unforgettable.

Read moreReally liked that this was for adults only. We had drinks here while waiting to access our rooms and the breeze was great while on the deck. Menu was okay but not mind blowing in terms of options and flavour. The only stand out meal for me was dinner on my fourth or fifth night. I ordered the lamb kofta, arancini and pilaf. My meal was tasty but I was hoping that there would be local dishes on the menu. I had the buffet brekkie twice and both times were fine - typical buffet options with eggs made on demand. I didn't order the omelette as it seemed a bit too large for one person but perfect to share between two. I couldn't handle having a buffet brekkie everyday of my stay but each to their own. Sliders could be improved by using a whole chunk of chicken rather than shredding it. The cabanas at the pool area are somewhat fine but four post cabanas would be better given that there are no trees to provide shade. A swim up bar is necessary but there wasn't one. Staff are nice and helpful but the billing system isn't very innovative. It shouldn't be that hard to have three bills set up for three rooms. I'm not sure I'd go back until improvements...

The most expensive cocktails on site and easily the worst margarita I've ever had. It was basically a salt and tequila mix, and very hard to drink. We ordered 4 plates to share [they were out of gnocchi though], 2 of them were nice (berbere beef and potato bravas side) but the others (cauliflower fritters and chicken kebabs) were bland. We asked for water and were provided with a bottle of the same stuff the rooms were stocked with, and then found $8 charged for it on the bill. Having not been advised of this costing us, especially after receiving free water at another restaurant, this bothered me.
And while it wasn't any fault of the staff (and is not taken into account with my rating), the extremely loud and obnoxious Australians celebrating something ruined any ambiance there might have been. Maybe they could have been reminded that other...
