Cantina Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Western

This was my first visit to Cantina and definitely will not be my last. The atmosphere was great and the service was full of smiles served by a great wait staff. I'm a huge TexMex fan and frankly after other Mexican dishes from elsewhere in Fiji, I wasn't expecting much ; how wrong I was. I had guacamole and chips for a starter. At $17.95 for a very small serving it was expensive and you'd feel justified in feeling a little ripped off had it not been for the outstanding flavour; it was 10/10 delicious, in fact it was so good I ordered another serving. For my main I had beef taco's ; they were fantastic. The taco's were served with all the normal accompaniments you'd expect ; everything was freshly prepared and really tasty. My mate had the sizzling fajitas ; he said it was really good. What struck me was the generous serving and large selection of accompaniments. We ordered frozen margarita drinks - they were a bit average in taste. I'm no expert but am guessing cheap tequila was used ; the glass was small and came circa 70% filled. For dessert my buddy had churros which he said were really good. I had the brownie and ice cream , which was outstanding ; hot chewy and full of chocolate . Overall Catina far exceeded my expectation;. If you were a family on a budget it's a little pricey for Mexican but hey who can grumble when the food was so good and being in the heart of the main tourist area of Fiji ; if you've spent a few thousand coming on holiday then paying good money for a good meal is all part of the deal. A Must-Visit at the Marina!

During our trip to Fiji, we found ourselves returning to Cantina Grill & Bar multiple times for both lunch and dinner – and for good reason! Located right on the marina, this restaurant offers a beautiful atmosphere with stunning views and a relaxing vibe.

The Mexican food here is fantastic! Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The cocktails and mocktails were just as impressive, refreshing, creative, and perfectly balanced. And let’s not forget the desserts they were simply amazing!

One thing to keep in mind: Desert portions are huge! We often found ourselves sharing dishes. But that’s definitely not a complaint 😁

A special mention to Elenora, who made our dining experience even better. She was incredibly helpful in recommending food and drinks, always greeting us with a warm, smiling face. Her kindness and great service added to the overall enjoyment of our meals.

My wife, son and 8mth old daughter went for dinner at Cantina this evening. The food was delicious the service very friendly and prompt and we overall had a lovely evening. I importantly have to compliment Dinesh and his team on noticing that my young daughter was about to drastically cut our dinner short by having a minor melt down as babies do sometimes. One of the wait staff came over and offered to hold the baby which we reasonably assumed would be for a few minutes to allow us to wolf down dinner and move on without disturbing other guests. Little did we know that the wait staff would happily pass our thing daughter from one to the other for around 30 minutes, allowing us to eat dinner at a normal pace and enjoy ourselves.
