Lulu Bar Restaurant and Cafe — Restaurant in Western

Service again a disappointment, letting down an otherwise good cafe. Waited & waited to get menus (despite a staff member seeing us take a seat) til I gave up & got them myself, then again no one came to take our order, so I went inside to give our order. Then my partner went in to pay, while I started to leave - whereupon the same staff member started calling out ‘ma’am, ma’am’ quite loudly & rudely - presume she thought I was leaving without paying - yet my partner who she had served at the table was waiting inside to pay! I pointed this out to her, expecting her to apologise, but no. Poor (& impolite) service letting down an otherwise nice cafe - given it is quite pricey, this is particularly disappointing. They clearly need a manager on site to oversee staff. As a local resident, I’ll be voting with my wallet and going somewhere...

I try not to be too harsh when leaving a bad review. But overall this was probably the worst meal ive ever had. I ordered the seared tuna salad, the tuna compartment was ok but the entire salad was in a bowl sitting in about a 2cm deep pool of soy sauce. There was about 1 cup of just plain soy sauce tipped over it as the dressing. The salad was inedible. My wife ordered the fish tacos, they were cold. My father's in law ordered the garlic prawns, that dish was missing the mashed potato it claimed to come with. My kids loved their kids menu pasta, so that was good. Staff said they had no juice for the kids so i went to the supermarket and bought some but the juice was still on the bill. Oh and the beers were warm. I’ll give them one star for the beautiful young man Nasa who looked after us. He should get himself a job somewhere decent. Their pina colada was soo white. This was because it was made of coconut ( minimal) and ice. Being Aussies we tried to drink it and shut up but the further we went the more obvious it was that there was no flavour of pineapple or rum or anything other than week coconut. The manager came out and said she’d made them herself and was insistent that she’d put the correct ingredients in them and, as we had drank about a third of each glass in an effort to drink up and shut up, then she couldn’t do anything about it.
