Café Lov — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

I saw a recommendation for ”best brunch in helsinki” in a blog. Not sure what has happened, but it wasn’t.

The potato ”rösti” were cold inside, totally inedible. obviously made from frozen supermarket stuff, but not even cooked.

The waiter asked me how was it and I mentioned it was cold. Instead of making a new one or apologizing, he gave me a long explanation on why they made the mistake (not really relevant information why it’s cold) and said “maybe better next time” :D like…bro, really? Yeah let me come back again and pay 18€, maybe I’ll get lucky then lol.

They still charged me for the meal, although I didn’t eat it. Currywurst was ok but sauce for them was cold as well.

Not really...

I visited this restaurant a handful times and it was good (food, price, service). But today I went with two friends and one of them is vegan. As soon as he asked if he had any vegan options, the guy started to be really rude with him even though he was just interested about the potential options to order. The guy told us that "you could also go check elsewhere", after that point we just left because it felt really rude as if he didn't want to sell or something. Literally lost 3 diners in 30 seconds for having a bad day (hopefully...

I came here after being most parched walking through helsinki and was greeted by the most refreshing orange juice and complimentary cold water. The beer was glorious and reminded me of home. The ordered chicken salad and "franzbrötchen" hit the spot just right. The best thing about my experience was definitely the service by, who I assume to be, the owner. He was even so kind as to refill my depleted waterbottle. The environment was extremely relaxed and wholesome. 5 stars deserved, no...
