It is a quesion how the prosecco (their only sparkling wine option on the menu) could be already sold out in the early friday evening. Offered me an alternative sparkling wine which tasted like a strong apple cyder on the same price.
Red wine on the menu was also sold out, only option was alternative red wine 3-4 euros more expensive. 14 euros for 16ml was ridiculous but there was no other option when my pizza was already served.
We ordered antipasto for 2 ppl as an aperitif, we asked to the staff to serve antipast first before the pizza (which is common sense, aperitif or starter comes before the main course). Finally it came same time as pizza, we had to eat pizza first before it gets cold. This serive messed up our evening experience. 3 glass of wine were more expensive than the meals.
Real Italian restaurant should have more than one choice in each wine, and knows order of serving food. The wine quality was surprisingly poor when it is extremely expensive compared to the other restaurants in...

We had to wait for 50 minutes for 2 salads and 1 assortment of cold cuts. All the appetizers were disappointing -- nothing was flavorsome and everything was ridiculously overpriced. The 20 euro cold cuts tasted like something you'd get from Alepa for half off. The 15 euro salad was a few sa(la)d leaves with a brunch of chickpeas straight out of a can.
Pizzas and panuozzos took another good 30 minutes. The pizzas were okay, nothing special. I've had better neapolitan pizza in Helsinki in various places. One interesting thing about my panuozzo, though, was that there was a hard branch (see the picture) in it. I bit into it and hurt my tooth. We asked the chef where the branch could've come from and he said he doesn't know. They gave us a free tiramisu, which was dry but at least the portion was big.
All in all, I don't get the hype. I'd recommend you take your money elsewhere. If you do decide to go, grab a pizza and don't even look at other items...
Read moreDefinitely one of the best Italian pizzerias in Helsinki. Pizzeria is small, and only cooks a few pizzas at the time, which might be a problem if you are planning on visiting with a bigger group or during a rush hour.
During the quieter hours, pizzas get done within minutes and are as tasty as ever. Owners are down to earth and chatty people when they have the time! From other products I have also tried Panuozzis and they are good alternative as well if you prefer something else than pizza. I have yet to taste their salads, lasagna or focaccias.
Compared to some other Italian pizzerias, Faselli's offerings are also really nice when delivered at home. With some others (Capperi...), pizzas come to home either cold or it feels like they are steamed. As with almost any restaurant, Faselli's products are at their best when eaten at the spot, but home delivery (Wolt) is not out of the...
