Vietnamese cafe at the hearth of Harju. This shouldn't be a surprise. Lately similar vibes has been rising around this area quite frequently.
When I visited here it had been open a little over a week and many things were still a bit confusing for the owners and their employees - prices and products for example but that's ok. I don't expect to be perfect when I visit so new place.
As a milieu this was a bit too minimalistic for my personal taste - I would say it was unfinished. Most of the solutions for decorations were still missing things. From outside you can't be sure is this place actually working or not but it's working indeed. I think windows and interior walls need something more otherwise the only things indicating working business was minimalistic white light box over the main door and white window taping. Place was totally empty from customers when I entered here. Only workers sitting around the table. As soon as I sat next to the main window this place started getting customers which gives me a hint why people are afraid to enter here. It looks so empty if no one isn't sitting next to window. This establishment is located a bit higher from the ground level which makes it a tad hard to see what's inside.
Back to actual business. Employees and food is a fusion with Finland and Vietnam which is a great thing if you need to explain something since language might be a problem sometimes. Food choice was a bit letdown for me personally. I should have taken that Vietnamese soup because it looked really delicious. Can't say the same from that vegetarian bread. I don't recommend that in case you're wondering it might be better with protein that comes from animals. Vietnamese black coffee was really pleasant and something different that I haven't tasted before - it was strong yet delicious.
People seem to recommend soup when they're visiting here so I definitely take that when I visit here the next time. This place is...
Read moreI was here with a friend to have Poke Bowl a while ago. There were two girls at the counter who made our experience really nice so I came back thinking it would be the same. But rather it was disappointing. The old guy at the counter had horrible attitude. He was aggravated that I was choosing a fish in my poke bowl order. He kept asking me with what meat I want to have it, even though they serve it only with fish. Even after he realized he was talking nonsense he didn’t even try to make it up to the service.
So well, that is how I ended up wasting my time here😁. He had horrible attitude for the setup and the location of the place. I wouldn’t recommend it. The Poke bowl is fresh but quite a small...
Read moreFresh, simple and tasty food, great prices. One of my locals so I go quite often. The pho soup has a great broth and the summer roll dish is quite large with 5 fresh rolls. Their fried noodles are also delicious. They have this homemade chili (and lemongrass) paste in a small jar on the tables that is really good, give it a try. I liked their Bahn mi's also but they are no longer on the menu. Nice place overall. Last time we ordered fried wheat noodles with veggies and chicken and some char siu...
