The food is good, very good, we only had sushi, but it was absolutely excellent. And let's face it, you come to a small family-run place like this for the food, not for the royal customer treatment.

Yes, there is no table service. Yes, you have to actually move your body and take your own chopsticks and soy sauce. God forbid you actually lift a finger in a restaurant, sheesh! Hey, at least you managed to eat by yourself and chew your own food and didn't expect the staff to feed everything to you. And OMG don't even think of cleaning after you and taking your dishes inside after you're done! Some people are just so lazy and entitled lately!

Anyway, I deducted a star because the tables and glasses could be cleaner and the soy sauce recipients could be full, instead for the customers to look through a few of them until they find a refilled one. Wonderful sushi all-around. we got the salmon plate(i think that’s the name i can’t remember, it had raw salmon sashimi and cooked salmon on the same plate) and it was absolutely amazing. the the cooked salmon was cooked to absolute perfection. crunchy but not too flaky or burnt at all. seriously some of the best cooked salmon i’ve ever had, top 5 easily, which is judging both the Bay Area California and Japanese sushi against it.

The restaurant is self-service for utensils, napkins, water, etc. The staff there are super nice and it seems to be a 2-person shift so i sympathize. I must reiterate the food is cooked to literal perfection. The restaurant is small and cute, the music is very nice and not too loud. I don’t know how this place has such a high rating, I’m trying to be open minded but I would not recommend this place of you have other options. Not terrible, but definitely not great either.

First impressions: tables not properly wiped down, chairs marked and chipped.

Service: They’re unable to swap some of the pieces, had to order something entirely different which also cost more. When the food did come I had to get up and get chopsticks and soy dish myself.

Food: Taste was good but honestly not worth it. Miso was cold and noticed they heated the miso in a microwave, also the bowl was chipped. The sushi itself tasted good, presented nicely but slightly weird texture on the salmon.

Overall, I think you can find better places in Helsinki than this one. Not terrible, but...
