My experience at Viet Balo was truly amazing. The food was tasty. Presentation was on point. Flavors were well balanced and the different textures gave the food such a unique vibe. In my humble opinion, as someone who is new to Vietnamese and other genres of South East Asian cuisine, I would say that the foodscape of Viet Balo adequately satisfied my interest and stomach.
The staff are very friendly, helpful and will gladly accomodate any request you have when it comes to dietary/health restrictions.
The location provides a balance of unique Nordic elements: sea, greenscape and city sights.

My latest visit in Jan ’24 was a little disappointing. Soup was really lacking of any taste. I would guess broth was either from beef cube or diluted with water. Otherwise same ingredients as before and very kind and friendly lady serving customers.

Read moreOne detail that shows why this restaurant offers great value is the quality of the chicken. Many affordable Asian restaurants use cheap, imported frozen chicken. Viet Balo, however, promises “high-quality, fresh food” on their website, and they delivered. When I tried Mama’s special curry, I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh chicken. For me, tasting the chicken is the test of quality, and Viet Balo impressed!
