One thing to consider before ordering:
The salmon teriaky is not an autentic japanese salmon teriaky really, which is usually grilled/fried. I could almost swear that the fish on the plate was can tuna. However when I went to ask about the dish, they said that it is fresh salmon ordered from the local distributor and that the salmon reminds tuna because they boil it. I don't really get why some one wants to boil a fresh salmon delivered from local distributor???
Even they sell so called "japanese street food" and not the real autentic japanese food, they should bring that information better out to the consumer. It is pretty misguiding to sell salmon teriaky which is not really a real one.
After all I was satisfied that they took the dish back and served another option, which was fried chicken with rice. This dish was ok but the chiken was a bit over cooked and the rice was dumply so nothing special either..
My overall rating would be 2,5 stars if it could be possible. I still want to thank the staff for their behaviour and...
Read moreI ate at the restaurant at lunch time. It's a food market restaurant which works for this style. Reminded me of some of the areas in Shinjuku, but more quiet of course. 4/5
Miso soup was a dissapointment. Very large and watery. Far from tasty miso soups in Japan. Less quantity, more quality. 1/5
Vegan dumplings were nice. Could have been more crispy. These were soft and soggy. Salad and dressing was a nice add. 3.5/5
Jalo Tofu with rice was a dissapointment too unfortunately. Tofu was lifeless and boring. Tasted cheap and not self made. Rice was also very far from the quality and taste served in Japan. The meal again had a nice other ingredients as a dressing. 2.5/5
Drink: Iki beer (no sake available)
A good place for a quick meal, but doesn't quite match the standards of a japanese food in...
Read moreThis used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the city, but the quality of both the food and the service left me extremely disappointed and angry today.
The waiter was unable to clearly indicate where their seats were, which required for her to redirect me twice, both times with equally vague waving of hands. If this wasn't bad enough, she decided to go over this incident and laugh about this with the rest of the staff in a disrespectful manner, clearly not realizing that her communication about where the seats were was severely lacking.
The food was almost equally disappointing. The ginger pork that I ordered was way oversalted and the rice was overcooked and watery. Won't be coming here...
