Service was due to the waitress being rude. As they were promoting “Turkish” food ei sucuk, I had asked if they are Turkish twice as the first time she had ignored me so i thought maybe she didn’t hear me, then the second time the waitress replied saying when you have been under occupation for over 500 years, everything becomes Turkish. Id just like to say, your knowledge of politics is very poor. If Turks was to occupy, today your mother tongue language would be Turkish not Albanian/Kosovan/Serbian/Greek. It is called cultural traits. Otherwise the food was nice atmosphere was nice. I think she is the owners wife or daughter because of the way she was responding to the chef in the kitchen. And it seemed as intentional from the advices:) On the bright side, our companion only ordered two glasses of wine which were reasonably...
Read moreMy absolute favorite place in all of Helsinki. Food is impeccable: fresh, well-seasoned, colorful, tasty, and beautifully prepared. Prices are excellent as well. Service was warm, friendly, and kind. Felt like I was visiting a friend who happened to be serving me the best breakfast, lunch, and/or snacks ever. Coffee is delicious (we tried drip coffee, Turkish coffee, and a latte). Baklava was sooooo yummy and homemade. Would heartily recommend. Can't wait to come back in the future!
Edit: Came back a little over a year later and the same review stands. Owner is super friendly and kind, breakfast combo was delicious. This is, hands-down, my favorite place in Helsinki. Thank you for putting such care into your cafe! It is noticed and...
