Ravintola Kammi — Restaurant in Tunturi-Lapin seutukunta

The restaurant is very difficult to find. After we had been searching for 10 minutes, we met another group who had been searching for 15 minutes. The restaurant is behind the "hullu poro" and you have to go through it. Unfortunately, it is not signposted anywhere. That would be nice. The food is good - we missed the fish being prepared over the fire - that's exactly why we were here. Unfortunately, it is now prepared normally in the kitchen. We also missed the retired Sami man who dances and sings. But the food still tastes good. This is the right place if you are looking for traditional food with lots of reindeer, salmon, potatoes and the traditional soup with spring morel. At the table there is a basket with delicious malt bread and free water. You can get as much as you want from the fire buffet. If you are looking for even more traditional food, I recommend the "Northern Lights Ranch". The fact that the older gentleman no longer works here shows that they still benefit from their good reputation and may soon become a tourist attraction... That would be a shame. At this point in time, it's still great. The food was delicious - the soup was great and the dessert was good too. The service and the explanations in Finnish and English were great. The meal costs 55 euros per person. Wine and so on are...

The food was good and there was a good choice of different dishes at the buffet. However, we had trouble to access Kammi as the club was closed on that day. We spent 30 min. looking for the entrance. We tried calling the reception of the hotel and Kammi several times. The personnel at the reception of the Hotel was not able to explain how to enter Kammi and Kammi personnel did not answer the phone. In the end, I spotted someone in the garden and asked to be allowed to enter Kammi. Personnel did not apologize in an appropriate manner for the inconvenience, but complained that we were late. In the end, we made it into the Restaurant and enjoyed the food. Proper information and a phone number at the front door would help to avoid the stress we had when the club is closed, but the personnel was not ready to change and improve anything. Due to the problems to enter Kammi only 2 stars even though the food itself...
