Kaskis in Turku is a hidden gem that seamlessly marries culinary excellence with warm, attentive service. Located in a cozy, albeit slightly snug, setting, the restaurant offers an intimate dining experience that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. The quality of the food is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish is a testament to the chef's skill, featuring a well-thought-out balance of local ingredients and innovative techniques. From the first bite to the last, the flavors are vibrant, carefully layered, and beautifully presented. The wine selection is equally impressive, with pairings that elevate the dining experience. The staff’s knowledge and enthusiasm about the wine list are evident, enhancing the overall meal. Kaskis also surprises with an outstanding pour-over coffee, sourced from a local roastery, that is a perfect way to end the meal on a high note. The only slight drawback is the restaurant's limited space, which can feel a bit cramped during peak times. However, this is easily overshadowed by the superb quality of the food, the attentive service, and the overall ambiance that makes you feel like a valued guest. In a city known for its burgeoning food scene, Kaskis stands out as a must-visit for both locals and travelers seeking a memorable dining experience. Despite the minor issue of space, the restaurant’s commitment to excellence in every other aspect makes it a top choice in Turku.

Absolutely loved the place. Definitely can see why a Michelin star (and why not 3). Food was delicious and the staff nice and friendly. We even took a picture with the head chef and the Michelin figure. Both of us got full menu with wine pairing and some extra drinks. I did the standard menu and my girlfriend took the vegan version. Overall, go there if you are able to get a table. We will probably be back next time we are in Turku. The only negative is the ventilation for highly allergic people (my girlfriend is allergic to milk protein). So she did have a little struggle (because of the smell from the kitchen probably). But that's a very specific case for highly allergic people. Just keep in ming. Once again, the food was fantastic and we are coming back!

If you are looking to splurge on fine dining to celebrate those special occasions in your life then Kaskis is the place to be! But you better remember to reserve early ahead because it is quite heavily booked most of the time. We went for a couple's dinner here and selected the 6-course meal with the 6 wine selections. That's the most recommended menu if you would like to have the full experience. The courses (3 starters, 2 main dishes, and 1 dessert) are each paired with the wines that complement the dishes the best. The chefs put extensive effort into coming up with quite experimental dishes that melt in your mouth. There are also options for 4 course-wine pairs and 5 course-wine pairs.

Great first try last night at Kaskis, a bright spot on Turku’s food scene. We did the chef’s menu accompanied with the Premium wine pairings and we were not disappointed: everything was perfectly matched and our sommelier really invested in the delicious wines that were served. As for the dishes, we will remember the “Fish Circle”, the bisque of crayfish which was properly perfect and a little note of “Sweet Sicily” as a dessert conclusion to what was a very pleasant dinner. Thanks to the whole kitchen brigade for putting out a great effort and looking forward to return one day for another feast!

Nice, relaxed athmosphere, excellent service. Chosen wines were spot on. Dishes itself were, perhaps, too 'imagenary' (but that's just me, YMMV of course)yet tasteful and a delight for an eye😍. The main courses were bit too salty. Minor complaints, though. All in all, a good experience, but perhaps a bit pricey considering high expectations. As a first timer the kitchen's welcome surprise was a nice bonus.

Excellent locally sourced food, good portions, and very well plated! Nice atmosphere, small and cosy, must book well (months!) in advance. 4 or 6 dishes fixed surprise menu, not living with an empty stomach :) Went back 3 years later, still great experience! Nice food, attentive staff, nice wine pairing option
