Mixed feelings.
Appreciate who I believe to be the owner and head chef, recooked the chicken in the butter chicken for us and it was much nicer - however the first attempt tasted as if it had been microwaved and the texture matched. This isn’t good enough and ruined our experience. The sauce was nice enough, and whilst I understand it is cooked on the tandoor before being mixed with the sauces - I very much doubt this was done fresh or heated up correctly within the sauce on the stove.
Also not a fan of the cheese naan which seemed like cream cheese was inside?
Chicken tikka Marsala was decent.
Lifted my review to a 3 due to the fact we were remade the butter chicken as mentioned. If this has not been done my review would be much lower.
It appears to be a family run business and appreciate language barriers could also be at play (I only speak English) - I wish them nothing but the best but please ensure food so cooked fresh to order for customers as the prices are equivalent to london or melbourne, where I have previously lived and enjoyed many...
Read moreTerrace is nice with not too much traffic and the food was delicious. Also one extra star for offering vegan options. But it took way too long to get served…
Maybe we got unlucky but we arrived at 20:30 on a Saturday and it took 30mn to simply take our order (the waitress coming to bring us water, after multiple requests, then saying sorry I’ll have to come back to take your order, was quite inappropriate) and another 45mn (!!) to finally get our food. That’s just too long (especially after a long day of biking). I’m not the type of person that likes complaining but this was beyond my tolerance point. Too bad because the food was really good and the place is nice. I hope they’ll find a way to either staff up or limit the number of orders they take to ensure a basic level of quality of service. I’m sure people on Uber Eats got served faster than us and...
Read moreMe, my wife and my daughter we were visiting Epernay from Reims for a short visit. We were strolling in the city when we came across this gem of a restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by meeting our congenial Indian hosts, the owner couple. Husband is a exceptional chef with 20 years experience in Paris and abroad. The food was extremely well cooked, flavor full and presented in nice way. We were astonished by the the originality and flavor of the Indian cooking, which is rare. We ate a lot of times in Paris but this restaurant beats most hands down. Our best wishes to the warmhearted owners and their kind hospitality. Will...
