L'Éphémère — Restaurant in Épernay

We arrived (3 adults and one child) on a Saturday at 12h15pm. Was a bit slow to take our order with hardly anyone in the restaurant at thebtime we arrived but we ordered and waiter left our table at 12h38. I know...how did I know it was that time...cus I got a notification ping just as he finished taking the order. We waited, waited, waited, waited and waited. 12h55 we asked if there was a problem...can we get our order...at least for our child since all she ordered was pasta with butter. At 13h25 still no food and still no pasta. hubby spoke to woman (manager) to say we cannot stay, its not normal to wait that long especially for pasta. She gave backhanded sarcastic apology and said sarcastically that she "has only been in this business for 20 years and that she has no idea what she is doing and that our child not getting her pasta was the end of the world and oh poor child😱". Her apologies were completely shocking, sarcastic and unwarranted. She said she had a single cook (isn't that her job as a manager and not ours to manage that) and other tables at the restaurant and that everyone needed to be served too and not just us. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Those who got their after us even got served. Anyway, it was almost like someything you see on tv as a comedy of bad service because its just so umbelievable. This is a 100% steak restaurant. We enjoyed a dinner here with another couple and our children seated separately next to us. It worked very well and our children were catered for nicely despite it being a upmarket restaurant. The staff were friendly and the steaks were amazing. Select but well...
