I dined at L'Ekrin during our ski holiday with my wife and son. We all agreed that our meal was one of the best we had had in recent memory, and we have all eaten at some very highly rated restaurants in France and elsewhere.
My son and I chose the six course regular menu, while my wife had the nine course vegetarian menu. Every dish we had we thought was excellent in terms of presentation, originality and taste. Personally, from my experience of French two and three Michelin starred restaurants over the years, the meal's quality exceeded some of those, and I think L'Ekrin under its current chef should be a strong candidate for a second star.
We were particularly grateful to the sommelier, whose choice of our white wine (we decided against the wine pairing option) was a superb 2012 Chateau de Fonsalette Cotes du Rhone, one of the best whites any of us could remember having.

The staff are superb, conveying the idea behind each dish and answering to any whim you have.
