Terrible experience, contempt for customers My partner and I both ordered from the specials board - meatballs served with risotto. The meal was obviously hastily prepared as it arrived at our table within a few minutes. The meatballs were warm on the outside, cold in the middle and presented in a cold metal dish sat on a cold plate alongside the risotto. Sent both meals back and received them a few minutes later, the meatballs still cold in the middle. Sent both plates back again. They came back a third time slightly warmer but the rest of the food on the plate was now stone cold. When I told the member of staff (who I found out later was the manager) he just walked away. We were starving by this time so reluctantly ate some of the food (mediocre quality, no flavour). Got the bill and paid (no apology or offer of a reduction). Before leaving we said it was a bad meal – all the staff (including the manager) just shrugged and the “cook” shouted at us not to come back. This is the first time I have had to write a negative review but this was such a bad experience – we were treated with utter contempt for complaining about cold food. Perhaps if you just want a pizza you may be lucky but beware, the staff here just do not care about what or who they are serving. They are next to the cathedral and are only interested in...
Read moreWas our plan B as place next door was closed, from the less than welcoming begining to rude beligerant attitude of the waiter, the food came out very quickly, this might have been a sign that French are not great at Italian cooking, pasta was obviously dipped into hot water for a short time as it was hard and sticking together, the carbonara sauce was actually pretty good, and the paramsan cheese also, pitty the pasta let it down, dessert again was another miss, when asked if I had the correct dish I was told the chocolate souffle was in side, I split it open and there was a small spread of it there, even the table next to us looked bemused, to be beside one of the main attractions in town and have a half ass attitude to customers is a bit...
Read moreLast-minute booking for 8 people on a Saturday night, they had no issues taking us. Plety of tables in the main room and also downstairs (where we were situated). Really nice atmosphere, relaxed.
The pizzas are awesome - decent size (say 10-12") and the quality it right up there. As a group was had a real mix of pizzas but the standout was the Quattro Formagio with walnuts... incredible.
Decent beers and the wine selection is broad and varied in price. With food, charcuterie and cheese board, a beer and some wine shared, we spent about €35, which was great value.
Definitely recommend coming here if you want freshly-cooked pizza in a...
