It was such a bad idea to choose this place. A dark cantina in an underground parking bunker. The first warning was the looks.
The second warning was to arrive at 19:00 and see a yellow post-it saying back at 19:30. We decided to wait. At 19:35 a woman showed up and opened the door. We there was another group waiting with us. We left them enter first. And somehow, in the mind of the server a queue formed.
There is only one menu in the house. It is not a menu, just a few printed pages stapled together. We knew what we wanted to eat so I went up to the bar. I was told the waiter would come in a minute. 3 minutes later she did, ignoring me, she went to the other table.
Another group came in. And there was a lot of chatting.
Later the first group was served. I have ordered hummus, tabbouleh, and falafel. The first two are cold, and should have been done hours ago. The falafel could have been fried with the other order. Not so.
40 minutes after we have entered the hall, 70 minutes after the opening hour, the order was not ready.
By the way: €8 for 4 falafel is excessive. 2 minutes away by foot we were served an excellent large portion of tartiflette for €6,50 in less than two minutes. Enough for two.
So one gratious star to the cook from saving us spending about €50 in his dark, badly ventilated place. For €13 we had two large tartiflettes, the second covered the breakfast next morning.
Read moreWe went there for dinner ~20:30 on a weekday. The place was empty then. It was very good value for money. Lots of food and nice service. Both of us ordered the falafel bowl and got a mix of dips, salad, falafel and bread with it. It was very filling and tasty. The only thing I would say is that even though we ate there, all the utensils...
