We stayed at a studio for four with balcony and the room was very spacious. Last year we stayed in a smaller studio and I think getting the bigger one is worth the price difference especially if you are staying for a long time.|My sister didn’t have a good experience when she stayed another time because she said the room wasn’t clean enough and had to tell the front desk about it. Luckily we didn’t have that kind of experience having stayed here twice in the last year. |The room, aside from being spacious was well equipped, a plus if you are staying for several days. I just wish their showers had a shelf for soap & other toiletries. Storage was ample, kitchen was compact but complete. |The beds were comfortable and my prior request for extra pillows were accommodated. The air conditioning worked well, considering that it was pretty hot when we were there. |The service from the front desk was consistent - friendly & helpful. I had a few questions before our arrival and they responded quickly to my enails. There’s also a water dispenser on the ground floor where you can get purified water. |The aparthotel is very close to a mall with a grocery where you can buy your food and supplies from. And it is also very close to the train station and the old town. Both an easy walk from Adagio. |I guess my only complaint would be the laundry room located on the 4th floor. They only have one washing machine and one dryer. It was tricky to wash your clothes since you’d have to wait if there are other guests using the washing machine, That was quite difficult to manage for us - having to check if we could already wash our clothes. I think they should add two more machines for guests to use. |Other than that, if you are staying several days in Annecy and need an apartment, Adagio would be your...
Read moreBad points….. So we had booked this studio under the impression it was a double bed and a single bed, it was not. It was a double and a sofa bed. So this has to be made up every night for my 12 year old. If he wanted to go to bed early then there was nowhere for us to sit. I believe if you book the room for 4 then there is a pull out mattress under the couch which makes the fourth bed. |We went to reception to query this and the ‘manager’ couldn’t have cared less. This is what all the rooms are like and we could sit on the dining table chairs when our son was in bed. We wouldn’t have booked it if we had known this was the case. |One of the 2 lifts was broken for the four days we were there with no obvious attempt to fix it. This caused mayhem as it’s quite a small lift anyway and during the day it would be filled with the cleaning staff and their bin bags and cages who made no attempt to get out to let you in. Thankfully we were 4th floor so used the stairs a lot but would have been very annoying if you were on the 7th floor.|We were in room 412 which was directly opposite the laundry room. Which at night wasn’t a problem but at 9am it turned into a ‘staff room’ for the cleaners. They wedged the door open and woke us up laughing and chatting right outside our door. Very frustrating. |Good points….. the beds were comfortable. Plenty storage. Air con worked well. |Shower was good. |Location was perfect. 10 min walk into the old town. |10 min walk to the monoprix supermarket, which is upstairs in what looks like a department store. |We didn’t have breakfast as we bought pastries and just ate them in the room in the morning. |It has a parking garage which is €16 a day.|Overall the goods outweighed the bad and would stay...
Read moreWe stayed here for three nights and suggest that you don't. I booked this property on the law of averages that 4.0 was okay and some people are just very fussy. We arrived and were upgraded to a three person room fine.
Settled in for the first night, bed was comfortable, then at about 2300 all hell broke loose and Room 403 we're partying until 0500 in the morning. While I appreciate it's hard for a hotel to regulate behaviour of guests management should be more forceful with troublemakers.
Woke up tried the shower, water pressure is similar to standing under a melting ice cube. Not only that but the thermostat was clearly broken and rapidly changed from a nice 28-30c to 70-80c. Perhaps that's why they keep the pressure so low so you don't get too burned.
Second night room 403 partying all night again. Try to complain and the promise of multilingual staff is revealed to be a lie. A young lady with yes and no English skills on reception. Again while I appreciate we're in France and people speak French you shouldn't promise multi lingual staff! So if the lady couldn't understand noisy neighbors she certainly wasn't going to understand the thermostatic valve in the shower is broken.
Bathrooms have mold in the corners and a lack of towels. Bedside tables have horrible marks all over them. This is a 2 star not a 4.
Dreading our third night here with no sleep and second degree water burns. The manager will likely respond to this review in the same manner as the rest with a copy and paste generic response. I will be following up with...
