Chez Papinou — Restaurant in Arrondissement of Nanterre

The right place to experience some real french vibes, not far from La Defense area! This little bistrot is located in a quiet road and offers classic but high quality bistrot food, elevated by the warm and welcoming hosts, who will make you live a true parisian experience. We were seated in the little patio outside, in typical small tables which offer the roght intimacy and cozy vibe. As a starter we ordered their „assiette fraicheur“, which was a rich salad with eggs, veggies, fromage and jambon, then we had the peppers (highly recommended) and the Filets de hareng, which were simply delicious. As a main we shared their classical omelette with salads and fries, a must when in Paris. We combined the dinner with two glasses of champagne and finished with their „café gourmande“, where you get to try some bites of delicious french desserts. We took the family out for a French dinner and it was delicious, the wife and I had the beef with peppercorn sauce, and one daughter had the salad, and the other an omelet. The food was delicious and our host was amazing. He did a great job with our broken French and we had a great time. Being from the States, dinner in France is a little later than 7pm, we got to watch the restaurant fill up and come to life. It was a great moment in our lives to experience. Don't pass up...
