I almost couldn't find the shop. Although the name of the shop is indicated clearly, I was confused when I looked inside which looks like a souvenir shop. It was only when I stepped in and I saw people walking towards the small door leading upstairs then I realized how well hidden this creperie was! There was actually a young lady by the door asking for the number or people and trying to see if there were seats available upstairs. The stairs up was really narrow such that you have to let people move one way first before you can walk the opposite way. It was packed upstairs but the moment when I asked for a table for 1, it was so easy to get a seat. However I told her I had time constraint to catch the bus to the train station, intially she told me the waiting time was about 30 minutes which I would totally miss the bus, but then later she told me if I could make up my mind what to eat faster, they could prepare mine first. I was so glad they actually went the way to help me and give me the chance to try their crepes. I saw so many types in the menu, ranging from sweet to savoury and so many different combinations for each. However the easiest was to go along with the name of the shop, the Sirene crepe which has to be the signature I presume. Was impressed the crepe was served within 10 minutes. I have to say it smelled good and looked good. Of course it tasted very good as well. The portion was rather generous and there were quite a bit of fillings in the crepe, like banana, chocolate sauce, almonds and whipped cream. The whipped cream was so good it was very light. I have to say it was a very good meal though was sweet tasted like a full lunch and it was very satisfying. Highly...
Read moreCrepes were very normal and their efficiency needs alot of improvement. Creperie is on the second floor and lady attending to the souvenir shop seems to be in charge of telling the staff on the second floor how many are in line. We reached in the afternoon and were first in queue but waited almost an hour to get in. During that hour more than 10 people exited the creperie on the second floor but none of the staff came down to let us know what was happening. After the 7th person, we attempted to go upstairs to check the situation and see if they forgot about the queue but lady on the first floor stopped us and insisted we wait. Gave reasons like the staff needs time to wipe tables and wash the dishes (how hard is it to wash plates for crepes?) The wait lasted in total of more than an hour which was just ridiculous since people kept exiting. Ended up crepes were just normal and nothing worth waiting for. Gave 2 stars as at least the crepes were of normal standard and nothing inedible. If you really need to eat crepes, go out of Mont St Michel to somewhere else in Brittany instead. Do not...
Read moreThis restaurant is tucked away on the second floor of a souvenir shop. We visited during the afternoon (3pm) and there were not a lot of people. The atmosphere was cozy as the space was small but not suffocating. We got a table next to the bar which is not the best but at least there weren’t any flies. The service was amazing, the place is tourist friendly with an English menu and the server also speaks good English! The food were priced reasonably and really good, I forgot the name of my dish but it was buckwheat crepe with chorizo, tomatoes, egg, and cheese. The place offer both savory crepe (on buckwheat crepe) and sweet crepe. The lemonade with mint syrup was pretty nice too, think sprite with a hit of mint. Overall, I had a great time there and more people should visit this establishment for...
