We had an unfortunate experience with this restaurant.

They sat us down reasonably fast with a good view out the glass window side before taking our orders. But for some reason 40 minutes passed and there was still no sign of our food (1405H-1447H).

We ordered the entree/dessert + main combo for 29 euros. The vegetable soup was the first and only dish that came. It was okay with additional salt and pepper.

But after waiting 40 minutes, nothing else came. We asked our waiter halfway in and he brushed us off, replying "of course.", when we asked if our food was on the way. (He did not check with the kitchen and was overstretched with handling other customers.)

When we asked again, the same waiter once more dismissively replied "just wait 5 more minutes.". Yet all around us others who came later were getting their orders. (Perhaps the mussel soups were quicker to prepare but even our Nutella crepe had not arrived.).

By then we were quite discouraged, and decided it would be more prudent to pay for what had been served (the vegetable soup) and cancel the rest as even if the food was ready at that very moment (it wasn't), we would miss our departing bus even if we quickly gorged everything down (we ordered the cod fillet and the chicken fricassee).

Shockingly the waiter initially declined our request to cancel, saying "No you cannot cancel, just wait.". As things went nowhere, we escalated to the floor manager and only with his approval did the other waiter finally assist with cancelling the missing dishes.

Still, this did not stop our waiter from grumbling and slamming our cash into the register as we paid our bill.

Maybe our dishes were more complicated or took more time, but our experience was not very reassuring and 40 minutes without any meaningful updates or even the crepe while others were getting served left us somewhat confused. That and the dismissive tone of our waiter (and evident dissatisfaction as we paid our bill) made the experience rather bewildering.

Otherwise the monument was beautiful, we were part of a tour group that had 4 hours-ish to explore and we took 2-3 of those hours to leisurely walk through. So if one is planning to eat here, perhaps more time (perhaps 90-120mins) will need to be...

I had the pleasure of dining at “LES TERRASSES DE LA BAIE” and overall, the experience was quite enjoyable. The brochette saumon cabillaud riz légumes and agneau curry riz were both excellent, with well-prepared proteins and flavorful accompaniments. The salmon and cod were particularly outstanding, while the lamb was exquisitely paired with its vegetables.

However, there are a few areas that could be improved to enhance the overall dining experience: Rice Preparation – The rice lacked flavor, was under-seasoned, and had a slightly raw texture. A bit more seasoning and proper cooking would elevate the dish significantly. Fries Quality – While frozen fries can still be enjoyable, these were overly hard and lacked sufficient seasoning. A slight adjustment in preparation and seasoning would improve their texture and taste. Tiramisu Caramel – This dessert did not resemble a traditional tiramisu, instead presenting more as a combination of cracker crumbs, caramel, and cream. A closer adherence to classic tiramisu elements would better meet expectations.

Despite these minor critiques, the main courses were truly exceptional. Service was also a highlight of the experience—Louis, in particular, stood out with his engaging personality, warm smile, and ability to create a lively atmosphere. His charisma and attentiveness made a lasting impression. The rest of the staff was equally attentive and professional, contributing to a welcoming environment.

Overall, I would rate my experience 7/10, and I would consider returning, largely due to the excellent service and well-executed...

I was not satisfied with my dinning experience.

When I walked in, the first thing I saw was one of the servers fighting with a group of people because they were trying to cross thru the restaurant. I understand this is disrespectful and he was right but there was no need to scream. If you do not want people to walk thru, close the doors or add a rope/barrier that only the waitress or the customers can open when leaving to control the crown.

The place is full of spiderwebs and overall does not look clean. Please clean up for futures customers.

The bathrooms are disgusting. The worse part is that the crepe station is right next to them and the food gets placed right at the door of the bathrooms. flys are coming in and out. I honestly do not know how you can fix this other than to have self closing doors so the odor does not leak out into the dinning area or clean the bathrooms frequently.

They provide 3 pieces of bread in a basket. I saw the server pick up a basket from a table with 1-2 breads in them after the people left and combine them with another basket of 1-2 breads from another table. Then he walked to the table next to us and gave it to them. I don’t know what to recommend here other than the obvious.

I order a cod with veggies and potatoes. it had no flavor or even salt. Honestly the crepes were better next door. Save room for dessert and...

⸻ We stopped in without a reservation and were warmly welcomed—seated immediately with a smile. The wait staff struck the perfect balance: friendly and engaging without ever being intrusive. We had the mussels dinner, which was absolutely delicious and generously portioned—almost too much food (in the best way!). Highly recommend going with the wine pairings, which elevated the whole meal. The Negroni was also spot on—one of the best we’ve had. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, our food arrived promptly and perfectly prepared. We finished with the Normandy cheese pairing, a fantastic and thoughtful representation of the region. If we had one small caveat—it’s France, and the bread could have been a bit fresher. But that’s a minor detail in an otherwise excellent experience. Would absolutely return!

We ordered the curry mussels, the tomato and burrata salad, and the omelette with fries. It’s also a great spot to enjoy an Affligem or a Negroni. The service was adequate, though I had to follow up several times to receive what I’d asked for. We ended the meal with a crêpe topped with caramel, which could have used a more generous drizzle. The standout feature of this restaurant is its location—perched inside the walls of Mont Saint-Michel, near the top of the hill. We were fortunate to be seated by the window, and the view was absolutely stunning. However, the number of flies inside the restaurant was excessive—enough to raise concerns about sanitation. Installing discreet traps or improving pest control would significantly improve the dining experience.

Located in a scenic spot with a beautiful view of the bay. the taste was just okay. There wasn’t anything particularly memorable or standout on the menu, but it was acceptable for a casual meal. What detracted from the experience more noticeably was the service. The staff appeared quite tired and disengaged. Another area that could use attention is cleanliness. The dining area, while not in poor condition, still showed signs that more consistent and detailed cleaning would improve the overall ambiance. Clean tables, polished glassware, and tidier surroundings are essential in creating a comfortable and trustworthy environment for guests.
