What a scam! We arrived and were set outside. The table was dirty, the waitress didn’t notice and proceeded to put the cutlery on the dirty table. We asked to clean it. She did. Left the cutlery tho. We ordered a beef tartare, a charcuterie and cheese board and a side of salad, two glasses of wine. The beef tartare came with salad and potatoes: it was chopped up beef, nerves and all, raw zucchini slices, all soaked in mayonnaise + some other sauce, potatoes swimming in oil and covered in sauce, the salad was covered in mayonnaise. Had a bite and left it there. Disgusting. Charcuterie really poor quality. Same for the wine ( they only had « house wine » for 8.50 a glass). They forgot the side of salad. No one ever checked on us. Asked for the bill, had to go inside: paid 30 euros each. With all the amazing places around and the amazing regional ingredients…this was not good. Trust...
Read moreDO NOT GO. Worst experience, service and food. It took 1.5 hours to get the appetizer (raw jam which required no work). Then the meal arrived 2 hours later and it was horrible. My steak tartare was made with Spicy Majo and it tasted like sushi. Half of the plates were pre-packaged so nothing aside the ‘’meat’ options are homemade. None of us finished our meals. The service was horrible and extremely dry and I was accompanied by French people so had nothing to do with culture or language barrier - just plain bad service and people working there. He introduced us to the most amazing Burgundy white wine I have ever tried in my entire life (Domaine la Renarde Montagny 1er Cru Les Chaniots). I would highly recommend this truly outstanding butcher and restaurant if you are a food and wine lover. We will definitely return as soon as we can plan...
