Excellent food and wine. Nightmare service.
Went here for an evening dinner with my boyfriend. We chose this resturant because the webpage had listed gluten-free pasta for a small fee since my boyfriend has celiac dissease. We didn’t make a reservation for a table. When we were to be seated the manager said they were full, but then said they had a table. When we were going to order our food the server got quite mad when we asked for a gluten-free option, and said that they had to wash the kitchen- and they made us quite uncomfortable for asking. But eventually we got to order. When I tried to order the cannoli I was told it was empty and they had no more- but after a short argument with what i thought were the owner they said I could have the cannoli.
We also ordered an entre, but the server didnt perceive this so we didnt get the entre we ordered. Then we asked for the entre I could hear the server that took our order confirmed that we had ordered it, but when they checked the computer the order werent put in. Then the owner came to our table and accused us for not having ordered any entre, and we perceived him as quite mad. Also the servers ‘crashed’ into my boyfriend many times during our dining experience. After the whole seance with the entre the owner seemed to realize his mistake for being so harsh intially and apologized for not realizing we had ordered an entre, and tried on three occasions to offer us an entre, dessert or coffee- but honestly- the staff were so rude so we were just keen to pay and leave.
Summed up: The food was excellent and at a fair price. The wine reccomendation for the food was good. The service was horrible- and it seemed like the staff had som communication problems internaly. Also the entire atmosphere among the staff was confused and worrysome- idk if they had i fight or whatever but they were very...
Read moreAs a connoisseur of Italian cuisine, correction: Neapolitan cuisine, this is really fantastic. This is how it should be. Reception, social talk, the food, the wines. And then the cliché reads that you thus taste the family in everything. But it really should be! Ryan as the host, who knows everything by heart, but also adds some anecdotes about where they are from and how and when they discovered this limoncello. His father is in the kitchen and is closely connected to the tables in the restaurant. Thus, he is also often making a quick round to ask if everything is satisfactory. And what do you expect last? Exactly. Tiramisu served from the bowl at the table onto your plate. Great family with especially Ryan!...
Read moreDinner was absolutely magnificent ! The food was delicious, we had burrata as starter and pasta as mains. We went early and the lovely owner squeeze us in. As they are usually really booked. French people have dinner very late like 7:30-8pm. We got there 7 pm. So we were lucky to get a table. As 7:30 the place was all fully booked!
I am not a big eater but it was so delicious I manage to finish it all!! We were so full and satisfied! So nice to find a hidden Italian gem in bordeaux.
Me and my partner was so over French food. And this definitely took us to Italy! So happy and our belly was too....
