TL;DR: It's a decent place, service is OK and food is passable. It's flavourful but forgetable, I would only recommend it if you have no other options you feel comfortable with.
I ordered a full menu (starter + main + dessert), my travel partner ordered starter + main. As a starter we had the same, smoked salmon. While the flavours were good the salmon wasn't the nicest looking. If you'd ask my opinion it was passable. As a main, I went with the Angus steak. It was the thinnest slice of meat I had seen in a while for the price. Flavours again were on point but overall it was lackluster and nothing out of the ordinary. My travel partner had the camembert and while it was ok as well it was nothing to write home about. It's interesting to note that both starters and mains were accompanied by the same uninspirable salad. As a dessert I had the Brioche Perdu, it was absolutely drowning in chocolate sauce which totally dominated the flavour, it was disappointing and I didn't finish it. The coffee and wine were ok for the price but again nothing special. Staff that was serving the food didn't seem to have any joy in their job. Un de nos convives Ă commandĂ© des moules au maroilles, chercher le maroilles? Moules toutes fermĂ©es, pas cuites gluantes plat immangeable. J ai demandĂ© Ă ce que mon cabillaud soit recuit il me le ramĂšne Ă©crasĂ© dans mon assiette toujours aussi cru, rĂ©sultat impossible de manger. Mon mari a dĂ©cidĂ© d arrĂȘter ce carnage, il a demandĂ© l addition, sans commander de desserts. The atmosphere was also okay, but nothing special.
The food, which I consider to be the main factor in a good dining experience was God awful. I got the risotto with scallops and my partner got the catch of the day seafood platter.
The risotto had the texture of mashed potatoes, and the taste was bland. There were 5 scallop slices in total. The seafood platter was almost inedible. The mussels were small and tasteless. The carrots and potatoes were drenched in some sort of soup, but had zero seasoning. The carrots also weren't peeled. The mackerel in contrast was super flavorful, but unfortunately that flavor was week old fish.
