Monsieur Wok — Restaurant in Calais

Great food here. It's a buffet mainly consisting of Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. There is a section where there is raw food to choose from, you put it on your plate and take it to the chefs at the woks. These chefs then stir fry everything on your plate in whatever sauce you pick. The stir fried food is brilliant. And it only takes a few minutes. Then you have the food at the buffet. There's a brilliant choice of curries, rice and noodle dishes. The choice is okay for vegetarian but there is a great range of meats and fish. Including prawn, chicken, beef, pork, calamari, fish and much more! Then there's the deserts... You have a massive chocolate fountain. A wonderful choice of small desert pieces to dip in the fountain and an ice cream freezer full of around 10-20 different flavours of ice cream. Bowls of sweets! And good sweets too! Gummy bears, jelly beans, marshmallows and chocolate. There's a great family environment. And it is a top class meal out with a partner, friend or business associate. I would definitely recommend it and can't wait to return...

Positively surprised by this large buffet restaurant. You get a very good selection of hot food and cold food as well as desserts. The fresh seafood selection is not too bad. You can choose oysters 🦪, prawns 🍤, whelks, langostine. The teppenyaki section has very nice beef steaks which are cooked live. The hot buffet is also very good with all dishes been tasty and overall the buffet was well stocked on my visit. For the price of 23.90€ you get even a drink included which is great. Overall I enjoyed my stay very much and in my opinion it is much better than any buffets I have been in England to. You also get plenty of free parking here and citi europe is just next door so top location. It is very busy usually so prepare for at least 10 minute queuing time even with reservation as they take payment upfront. As a bonus they even have a kids...

We had a poor meal at our usual Chinese restaurant in Coquelles the night before and so we thought why not give Mr Wok a try, however we had memories of a poor evening at the Mr Wok in La Cala de Mijas This was totally different and Honestly.... we both agreed that it was fantastic value and everything was perfect Great selection of very fresh seafood. Presentation throughout was impressive everything was spot on. Staff were faultless in every department from booking in and paying at the reception desk to the resupply of food and the clearing of the tables. I would recommend booking in advance as its a very busy restaurant and most of the customers are from the local area Lots of families sharing large tables Our Thanks to the staff for a very enjoyable evening and without a doubt we are both looking forward to our next visit whenever...
