The set menu costs 19 euros, making it competitively priced compared to other options.
🥩Duck Salad This dish is quite unique. The duck is simply boiled and seasoned. It's a redeemer for diners who prefer a lighter salt taste.
🥩Goat Cheese Salad This is a local specialty, with large pieces of goat cheese placed directly on a bed of tomatoes. It's simple yet effective, allowing diners to taste the freshness and flavor of the ingredients themselves.
🥩Steak I have to admit that although this steak looks good, it’s been overcooked, even though it's prepared medium. This is what some might call "homemade" and falls into the category of simple home-cooked meals. It means no prior marinating or tenderizing of the steak; it's placed directly on the grill or in the pan, resulting in this slightly overcooked texture. Despite the crispy exterior and the pinkish hue inside, steaks cooked directly without any prior preparation can turn out somewhat tough. It's a lot like my own lazy cooking style. 🤣
🥩Duck Leg Cassoulet This dish contains pork, so for diners who don't eat pork, please take note to avoid accidentally consuming it!
The caramel pudding dessert is tasty but indeed extremely sweet, the kind of sweetness that can lead...
Read moreDecent food for the menu à prix fixe Cassoulet which is basically slow cooked duck and pork and beans is the staple, its decent. You get a salad and a dessert A drink isn't included which is rather cheap of the restaurant. Parts of France seem over priced for the basic food you get. That said I take it as an experience. I think the supermarket has better options than restaurants around here. I wouldn't go back here and I think you can find even cheaper options. So I paid twenty one euros And then an another four for house wine which was like the worst house wine I've had in my life and another four for a tiny coffee which was odious but no one ever said the French knew coffee. I highly encourage folks to go for bargains at the supermarket which is what I ended up doing after eating at such restaurants about twice. Coming down the basque region from Spain, I haven't been very impressed with the southern French cooking but who knows maybe you'll strike gold around here but don't hold...
Read moreI was recommended this restaurant by the hotel I stayed at but unfortunately I can’t say that I had a good experience.
I ordered the entrecôte and a glass of red wine. The restaurant wasn’t busy but it still took roughly 45 minutes my food to come out. After they delivered the food they came out with bread which would have been nice to have while waiting.
The meat was tasteless and very chewy. I’m not an expert but the meat had barely any marbling and I’m not sure if it was actually an entrecôte.
Whey I was done I was told that I wasn’t able to pay using a credit card. Instead I needed to walk over to a nearby ATM to withdraw cash for the payment. I wasn’t the only one who was surprised by this and there was a line forming at the ATM by people coming from the restaurant.
Overall, this felt like a tourist trap where they are counting on one time customers and not delivering an experience that makes people want...
