Terrible dining experience.
We & the table next to us had to ask for menus after being ignored for some time. We then had to flag a staff member down to place our orders. The drinks arrived and had been consumed well before our food arrived. There was no offer of more drinks despite all our glasses sitting empty. We asked a waiter if he could check on progress of our meals and he told us not to worry.. it would be coming. After considerable time & still no food we enquired again and were told ‘it was coming’.
Another nearby table who had been waiting slightly longer than us had to follow up on their meals and were met with a curt reply.
We noted that several tables around us whom sat well after us, received their food & had finished and gone whilst we still waited. We raised this but were still brushed. I suspect our orders did not make it to the kitchen.
Eventually the food arrived (without any cutlery in order to eat it) the table next to us also received their food without cutlery - we each had to ask for it to be brought out. Still no offer of drinks despite all our glasses being empty.
The chicken curry which was obviously just microwaved was still cold in places. The burger was reasonable but accompanying chips cold. I had planned to order dessert but didn’t bother.
On lining up to pay for our meals there was a hold up as the staff sifted through dockets trying to match orders to diners & asking diners to bring their table numbers (I.e rocks) up as proof of order. There was zero acknowledgment of the extensive delays nor any apology. In fact when I advised the staff member that the service was terrible and took way too long, I was brushed off. Still no apology.
The only positive for us was that the table next to us who received the same dismal service were great company. It’s a pity that the service was so lax as we would have spent way more on drinks...
Read moreRude, racist staff. Arrived at the restaurant at 21.30 and asked, in French, (although I am English I have lived in France for nearly 20 years so can ask properly) if they had a table for 5 people. Was told that the chef would be asked if it was possible. I said we would take a table and have a drink anyway until we knew if we could eat or not. After waiting 20 minutes for someone to take our order a French couple were put at the table next to us. A waitress arrived straight away to ask if they wanted to order a drink while they looked at the menu. I decided to ask the waitress at the restaurant next door if they were still serving food , she said yes straight away, brought us menus, took our drinks order and , happily, we ended up with a really lovely meal and we gave our €250 euros to someone that deserved it. Food was still being served at l’endroit at 23.00. But, we witnessed people that had waited ages for their food to be served leave, some that had asked for their bill and waited ages , leave without paying and several like us moved next door. If I could leave zero...
Read moreI cannot rate this place at all. Visited here on Sunday as there are very few restaurants open. Big mistake, sat at a table and asked waitress for a menu to be told the other waitress would get one for us. Waited another five minutes and asked the other waitress who said she would bring one out. Waited another five minutes when the first waitress asked if we were okay. Again I asked for a menu, after another five minutes we walked out. Looking at previous reviews I can't understand why this restaurant is still open. The waitresses were too busy talking and smoking with their drunken friends who were sitting just outside the door. Think it was a battle of wits between the two of them who would do the work. All in all this has got to be one of the worse places I have been to. Unfortunately I have had to give this 1 star. I don't believe they deserve that as there was no...
