Boulangerie Pâtisserie Marx — Restaurant in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

We were visiting the town in the middle of the afternoon and we were not able to find a place to eat something salty, so we went to the bakery and asked if they sell a sandwich - they answered that it was not possible. So we decided to buy a croissant and ham to make our own sandwich, and we asked if we could if we could use the table and the cashier said it was ok, then when we seated the waitress put us on an embarrassing situation saying that we could not seat there because unless we have bought the things that are ready and more expensive. We would be happy to buy something if they sold, but that was not the case! Une déception… Nous sommes arrivé pour espérer manger un remontant après une promenade dans le village. Étant un des seuls commerçants ouverts pour manger durant l’après midi nous avons décidé de faire un arrêt sous cette chaleur écrasante. Nous sommes donc rentrés dans la boulangerie pour regarder ce qu’il y avait à manger. Étant des personnes polies et respectueuses nous avons annoncé le mot « Bonjour » en rentrant mais nous n’avons entendu aucun retour des vendeurs/vendeuses… seule note écho nous a répondu 🙄 Nous avons décidé d’aller rejoindre la terrasse en passant par l’intérieur de la boutique comme indiqué sur une affiche à l’intérieur de la boulangerie et avons attendu sagement que quelqu’un nous demande si nous voulions nous installer pour déguster une pâtisserie. Une vendeuse nous a vu attendre nous a regardé, à soupiré en face de nous et s’est mise dos à nous pour commencer autre chose… Un autre serveur nous a regardés mais nous a littéralement ignorés et a continué à passer à côté de nous comme si nous n’existions pas. De même pour la personne qui tenait le bar qui nous a vu nous a regardés mais n’a aucunement échangé avec nous pour nous rediriger ou ne serait-ce nous dire bonjour… Alors pensons que nous étions au mauvais endroit car c’est ce qu’on nous a bien fait ressentir avec les regards qu’on nous a lancés, nous avons donc fait le tour pour attendre en terrasse mais bon apparemment là aussi nous étions invisibles… Nous sommes donc repartis ailleurs trouver un meilleur accueil ainsi que de quoi nous rafraîchir et manger. Une expérience comme rare j’en ai vécu, pas un bonjour, une ignorance complète… une impolitesse incroyable Je veux bien comprendre qu’il faisait chaud et que ce n’est pas agréable de travailler dans cette chaleur. De plus étant venu vers 14h30-15h il n’y avait pas de rush seules 6-8 personnes étaient en terrasse. Nous ne comprenons donc pas ce comportement négligent et impoli qui ne donne pas du tout envie de revenir ou de conseiller… En espérant que vous prendrez compte de notre expérience pour améliorer votre accueil , ne serait-ce qu’un « Bonjour » quand on rentre dans la boulangerie, même les clients qui sont rentrés derrière nous n’ont pas eu le droit à un bonjour en...

The service is very poor and the food wasn’t that good. I wouldn’t recommend it and here’s why: My pizza was completely burned from the bottom and when we asked why they said this is how it’s done (even though we ordered two other pizzas and they weren’t burned), I’m not French but I’m not stupid. We asked if we could order sandwiches and they said that we can only have them to go, and when the people sitting on the table next to us asked for sandwiches they brought them some.
